Abstract

Mean energy distributions are given for 98 normal stars in the spectral range from O to M and luminosity classes V, IV, III, II, and I. The points cover the wavelength range from 1200A to 10500A and a include a point at 12500A. Introduction: The energy distributions were based on photometric and spectrophotometric data from many authors. All stars are dereddened. The zero point for each wavelength is based on a Vega model atmosphere by Mihalas (1966ApJS...13....1M) with theta effective = 0.525 (9600K) and log.g = 4. It has been extended into the ultraviolet using the OAO-2 results. This energy distribution is given in the last column of file "data.dat", and can be used to change to another system if desired. The ultraviolet portions are based on the IUE calibrations. The energy distributions are given in intensities per unit wavelength interval normalized to 100{AA} (100nm) at 5500{AA} (550nm). Each value given in the catalog is the intensity in the interval {Delta}{lambda} = 50{AA} (5nm) centered on the given wavelength.
