We present a CO(2-1) survey at 9pc resolution obtained with the APEX telescope in the Small Magellanic Cloud (SMC). We perform a catalog of 177 molecular clouds in an extensive region (0.4kpc^2^) of the SMC. We use the CPROPS algorithm to identify the molecular clouds and estimate their main CO parameters. We analyze the scaling relations between the radius, velocity dispersion, luminosity, and virial mass of the SMC clouds, and they are compared with those of other low-metallicity galaxies. We also analyze the mass spectrum of the SMC by using the cumulative mass distribution. We study the dynamic state and stability of dust clouds associated with CO emission within our observed area. We estimate the viral mass- and dust-based CO-to-H2 conversion factor of the SMC. Finally, we study the link between molecular clouds and star-forming regions.
