The catalog contains 377 groups of compact galaxies and includes identifications, equatorial coordinates, numbers of constituent galaxies, magnitudes of the brightest member, sizes of the groups as a whole, and coefficients of relative compactness. The HEASARC has a related database table, SHKGALAXY, which contains data on the individual galaxies in the Shakhbazian Compact Groups. This database table was created by the HEASARC in December, 1999, based on the <a href="https://cdsarc.cds.unistra.fr/ftp/cats/VII/89B">CDS catalog VII/89B</a>.
