Given a detection limit of 17.7mag at the K-band, we identified 2099 objects as young stellar object (YSO) candidates that displayed near-infrared excesses. Their masses, estimated from luminosities, range from 0.006M_{sun}_ to 2.7M_{sun}_. The candidates are not uniformly distributed. For 21 BRCs, more than half of the associated YSO candidates are located inside the cloud. We found clear evidence of triggered star formation. The number of YSO candidates is not correlated with the core mass of the molecular clouds. Instead, the YSO number increases with increasing UV photon flux from the exciting star illuminating the cloud surface. UV radiation activates star formation in the BRCs.</description><source format="bibcode">2012PASJ...64...96H</source><referenceURL>https://cdsarc.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/cat/J/PASJ/64/96</referenceURL><type>Catalog</type><contentLevel>Research</contentLevel><relationship><relationshipType>IsServedBy</relationshipType><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/TAP">TAP VizieR generic service</relatedResource></relationship><relationship><relationshipType>IsServedBy</relationshipType><relatedResource>Conesearch service</relatedResource></relationship><relationship><relationshipType>related-to</relationshipType><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/AJ/123/2597">J/AJ/123/2597 : H{alpha} stars and HH objects near BRCs (Ogura+, 2002)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/MNRAS/396/964">J/MNRAS/396/964 : T Tauri in and around bright-rimmed clouds (Chauhan+, 2009)</relatedResource></relationship></content><rights>https://cds.unistra.fr/vizier-org/licences_vizier.html</rights><capability><interface xsi:type="vr:WebBrowser"><accessURL use="full">https://vizier.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/VizieR-2?-source=J/PASJ/64/96</accessURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at IUCAA: Pune, India">https://vizier.iucaa.in/viz-bin/VizieR-2?-source=J/PASJ/64/96</mirrorURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at SAAO: SAAO, South Africa">http://vizieridia.saao.ac.za/viz-bin/VizieR-2?-source=J/PASJ/64/96</mirrorURL></interface></capability><capability><interface xsi:type="vs:ParamHTTP"><accessURL use="base">https://vizier.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/votable?-source=J/PASJ/64/96</accessURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at IUCAA: Pune, India">https://vizier.iucaa.in/viz-bin/votable?-source=J/PASJ/64/96</mirrorURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at SAAO: SAAO, South Africa">http://vizieridia.saao.ac.za/viz-bin/votable?-source=J/PASJ/64/96</mirrorURL><queryType>GET</queryType><resultType>text/xml+votable</resultType></interface></capability><capability standardID="ivo://ivoa.net/std/TAP#aux"><interface xsi:type="vs:ParamHTTP" role="std"><accessURL use="base">https://tapvizier.cds.unistra.fr/TAPVizieR/tap</accessURL></interface></capability><capability xsi:type="cs:ConeSearch" standardID="ivo://ivoa.net/std/ConeSearch"><description>Cone search capability for table J/PASJ/64/96/tables (YSO candidates in 31 BRC regions (Bright Rimmed Clouds; tables E1-E31 of the paper))</description><interface xsi:type="vs:ParamHTTP" role="std"><accessURL use="base">https://vizier.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/conesearch/J/PASJ/64/96/tables?</accessURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at IUCAA: Pune, India">https://vizier.iucaa.in/viz-bin/conesearch/J/PASJ/64/96/tables?</mirrorURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at SAAO: SAAO, South Africa">http://vizieridia.saao.ac.za/viz-bin/conesearch/J/PASJ/64/96/tables?</mirrorURL><queryType>GET</queryType><resultType>text/xml+votable</resultType></interface><maxSR>180.0</maxSR><maxRecords>50000</maxRecords><verbosity>true</verbosity><testQuery><ra>80.773375</ra><dec>33.0933333</dec><sr>0.005555555555555556</sr></testQuery></capability><coverage><spatial>5/3869 6/1285 14687 15370 15455 15475 15481 15484-15485 20805 20816 21439 21641 21643 21646 21668 22243 22246 22797 22808 22849 22856 23639 23704 23738-23739 23996-23997 29463 29506 39396 39919 40618-40619</spatial><footprint ivo-id="ivo://ivoa.net/std/moc">https://cdsarc.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/moc/J/PASJ/64/96?format=ascii</footprint><waveband>Infrared</waveband></coverage><tableset><schema><name>default</name><table><name>J/PASJ/64/96/tables</name><description>YSO candidates in 31 BRC regions (Bright Rimmed Clouds; tables E1-E31 of the paper)</description><column><name>recno</name><description>Record number assigned by the VizieR team.
