Future analysis of the Gaia time-series astrometry of these events will, in some cases, lead to precise gravitational mass measurements of the lens. We find that 61 per cent of events predicted during the extended Gaia mission with sources brighter than G=18 are likely to be spurious, with the background source in these cases commonly being either a duplicate detection or a binary companion of the lens. We present quality cuts to identify these spurious events and a revised list of microlensing event candidates. Our findings imply that half of the predictable astrometric microlensing events during the Gaia mission have yet to be identified.</description><source format="bibcode">2020MNRAS.498L...6M</source><referenceURL>https://cdsarc.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/cat/J/MNRAS/498/L6</referenceURL><type>Catalog</type><contentLevel>Research</contentLevel><relationship><relationshipType>IsServedBy</relationshipType><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/TAP">TAP VizieR generic service</relatedResource></relationship><relationship><relationshipType>related-to</relationshipType><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/I/345">I/345 : Gaia DR2 (Gaia Collaboration, 2018)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/A+A/618/A44">J/A+A/618/A44 : Predicted microlensing events from Gaia DR2 (Bramich, 2018)</relatedResource></relationship></content><rights>https://cds.unistra.fr/vizier-org/licences_vizier.html</rights><capability><interface xsi:type="vr:WebBrowser"><accessURL use="full">https://vizier.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/VizieR-2?-source=J/MNRAS/498/L6</accessURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at IUCAA: Pune, India">https://vizier.iucaa.in/viz-bin/VizieR-2?-source=J/MNRAS/498/L6</mirrorURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at SAAO: SAAO, South Africa">http://vizieridia.saao.ac.za/viz-bin/VizieR-2?-source=J/MNRAS/498/L6</mirrorURL></interface></capability><capability><interface xsi:type="vs:ParamHTTP"><accessURL use="base">https://vizier.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/votable?-source=J/MNRAS/498/L6</accessURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at IUCAA: Pune, India">https://vizier.iucaa.in/viz-bin/votable?-source=J/MNRAS/498/L6</mirrorURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at SAAO: SAAO, South Africa">http://vizieridia.saao.ac.za/viz-bin/votable?-source=J/MNRAS/498/L6</mirrorURL><queryType>GET</queryType><resultType>text/xml+votable</resultType></interface></capability><capability standardID="ivo://ivoa.net/std/TAP#aux"><interface xsi:type="vs:ParamHTTP" role="std"><accessURL use="base">https://tapvizier.cds.unistra.fr/TAPVizieR/tap</accessURL></interface></capability><coverage><spectral>1.9867573869263685e-19 3.916500758235022e-19</spectral><footprint ivo-id="ivo://ivoa.net/std/moc"/><waveband>Optical</waveband></coverage><tableset><schema><name>default</name><table><name>J/MNRAS/498/L6/table1</name><description>List of the microlensing events predicted using Gaia DR2</description><column><name>GaiaDR2S</name><description>Gaia DR2 source identifier of the source</description><ucd>meta.id.assoc</ucd></column><column><name>2MASSL</name><description>2MASS source designation of the lens</description><ucd>meta.id</ucd><dataType xsi:type="vs:VOTableType" arraysize="16*">char</dataType></column><column><name>2MASSS</name><description>2MASS source designation of the source</description><ucd>meta.id.assoc</ucd><dataType xsi:type="vs:VOTableType" arraysize="16*">char</dataType></column><column><name>Tminsep</name><description>Time of closest approach of the lens and source (in julian years) as calculated by the study which found the event</description><unit>yr</unit><ucd>time.epoch</ucd><dataType xsi:type="vs:VOTableType">double</dataType></column><column><name>vconf</name><description>Indicates whether the source and lens have been identified in legacy imaging data (1)</description><ucd>meta.code</ucd><dataType xsi:type="vs:VOTableType" arraysize="5*">char</dataType></column><column><name>Nobs</name><description>Number of times the source was observed by Gaia according to Boubert et al. 2020MNRAS.497.1826B)</description><ucd>meta.number</ucd><dataType xsi:type="vs:VOTableType">int</dataType></column><column><name>Ref</name><description>Reference of the study that found the event (2)</description><ucd>meta.ref;pos.frame</ucd><dataType xsi:type="vs:VOTableType" arraysize="4*">char</dataType></column><column><name>GmagL</name><description>Gaia DR2 G-band magnitude of the lens</description><unit>mag</unit><ucd>phot.mag;em.opt</ucd><dataType xsi:type="vs:VOTableType">float</dataType></column><column><name>GmagS</name><description>Gaia DR2 G-band magnitude of the source</description><unit>mag</unit><ucd>phot.mag;em.opt</ucd><dataType xsi:type="vs:VOTableType">float</dataType></column><column><name>sigmaAL</name><description>Error in the along scan direction of the source (3)</description><ucd>stat.error</ucd><dataType xsi:type="vs:VOTableType">float</dataType></column><column><name>BP-RPL</name><description>?
