Four of the transits were simultaneously observed in four passbands (g', r', i', z'), using the telescope-defocussing technique, and achieving scatters of less than 1 mmag per observation. We used these data to improve the measured orbital and physical properties of the system, and obtain an optical transmission spectrum of the planet. We measured a decreasing radius from bluer to redder passbands with a confidence level of more than 5 sigma. The radius variation is roughly 11 pressure scale heights between the g' and the z' bands. This is too strong to be Rayleigh scattering in the planetary atmosphere, and implies the presence of a species which absorbs strongly at bluer wavelengths.</description><source format="bibcode">2016MNRAS.459.1393M</source><referenceURL>https://cdsarc.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/cat/J/MNRAS/459/1393</referenceURL><type>Catalog</type><contentLevel>Research</contentLevel><relationship><relationshipType>IsServedBy</relationshipType><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/TAP">TAP VizieR generic service</relatedResource></relationship><relationship><relationshipType>related-to</relationshipType><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/ApJ/707/167">J/ApJ/707/167 : Transiting planetary system WASP-18 (Southworth+, 2009)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/MNRAS/396/1023">J/MNRAS/396/1023 : Transiting planetary system WASP-5 (Southworth+, 2009)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/MNRAS/399/287">J/MNRAS/399/287 : Transiting planetary system WASP-4 (Southworth+, 2009)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/MNRAS/408/1680">J/MNRAS/408/1680 : Transiting planetary system WASP-2 (Southworth+, 2010)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/A+A/527/A8">J/A+A/527/A8 : Transiting planetary system WASP-7 (Southworth+, 2011)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/MNRAS/426/1338">J/MNRAS/426/1338 : Transiting planetary system WASP-17 (Southworth+, 2012)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/A+A/551/A108">J/A+A/551/A108 : Multi-site obs. of WASP-12 b transit (Maciejewski+, 2013)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/A+A/557/A30">J/A+A/557/A30 : Transits of HAT-P-16 and WASP-21 (Ciceri+, 2013)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/MNRAS/434/1300">J/MNRAS/434/1300 : WASP-15 and WASP-16 light curves (Southworth+, 2013)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/MNRAS/436/2">J/MNRAS/436/2 : Transits of WASP-19b (Mancini+, 2013)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/MNRAS/444/776">J/MNRAS/444/776 : Transiting planets WASP-24, 25 and 26 (Southworth+, 2014)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/A+A/562/A126">J/A+A/562/A126 : Light curves of WASP-80 transit events (Mancini+, 2014)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/A+A/563/A40">J/A+A/563/A40 : WASP-43b g'r'i'z'JHK light curves (Chen+, 2014)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/A+A/568/A127">J/A+A/568/A127 : Light curves of WASP-67 transit events (Mancini+, 2014)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/A+A/577/A54">J/A+A/577/A54 : HAT-P23 and WASP-48 light curves (Ciceri+, 2015)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/A+A/579/A136">J/A+A/579/A136 : HAT-P-36 and WASP-11/HAT-P-10 light curves (Mancini+, 2015)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/A+A/580/A63">J/A+A/580/A63 : HATS-13b and HATS-14b light and RV curves (Mancini+, 2015)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/MNRAS/430/2932">J/MNRAS/430/2932 : WASP-44 griz light curves (Mancini+, 2013)</relatedResource></relationship></content><rights>https://cds.unistra.fr/vizier-org/licences_vizier.html</rights><capability><interface xsi:type="vr:WebBrowser"><accessURL use="full">https://vizier.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/VizieR-2?-source=J/MNRAS/459/1393</accessURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at IUCAA: Pune, India">https://vizier.iucaa.in/viz-bin/VizieR-2?-source=J/MNRAS/459/1393</mirrorURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at SAAO: SAAO, South Africa">http://vizieridia.saao.ac.za/viz-bin/VizieR-2?-source=J/MNRAS/459/1393</mirrorURL></interface></capability><capability><interface xsi:type="vs:ParamHTTP"><accessURL use="base">https://vizier.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/votable?-source=J/MNRAS/459/1393</accessURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at IUCAA: Pune, India">https://vizier.iucaa.in/viz-bin/votable?-source=J/MNRAS/459/1393</mirrorURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at SAAO: SAAO, South Africa">http://vizieridia.saao.ac.za/viz-bin/votable?-source=J/MNRAS/459/1393</mirrorURL><queryType>GET</queryType><resultType>text/xml+votable</resultType></interface></capability><capability standardID="ivo://ivoa.net/std/TAP#aux"><interface xsi:type="vs:ParamHTTP" role="std"><accessURL use="base">https://tapvizier.cds.unistra.fr/TAPVizieR/tap</accessURL></interface></capability><coverage><footprint ivo-id="ivo://ivoa.net/std/moc"/><waveband>Optical</waveband></coverage><tableset><schema><name>default</name><table><name>J/MNRAS/459/1393/table1</name><description>Details of the transit observations presented in this work</description><column><name>TimeS</name><description>Start time (UT)</description><ucd>time.epoch</ucd><flag>nullable</flag></column><column><name>recno</name><description>Record number assigned by the VizieR team.
