Only 33 of the brown dwarf candidates are planetary mass candidates with estimated masses in the range 0.003&lt;M&lt;0.012M_{sun}_. In an extinction-limited sample (AV&lt;5) complete to approximately 0.005M_{sun}_ (5M_Jup_) the mass function appears to drop by a factor of 2 at the deuterium burning threshold, i.e. at planetary masses. After allowing for background contamination it is likely that planetary mass objects at 3-13M_Jup_ number &lt;10% of the cluster population, with an upper limit of 13%. Analysis of the spatial distribution of stars and brown dwarf candidates suggests that brown dwarfs and very low-mass stars (M&lt;0.1M_{sun}_) are less likely than more massive stars to have wide (&gt;150AU) binary companions.</description><source format="bibcode">2005MNRAS.361..211L</source><referenceURL>https://cdsarc.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/cat/J/MNRAS/361/211</referenceURL><type>Catalog</type><contentLevel>Research</contentLevel><relationship><relationshipType>IsServedBy</relationshipType><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/TAP">TAP VizieR generic service</relatedResource></relationship><relationship><relationshipType>IsServedBy</relationshipType><relatedResource>Conesearch service</relatedResource></relationship><relationship><relationshipType>related-to</relationshipType><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/A+A/429/1007">J/A+A/429/1007 : RIJHK phot. of VLM objects near eps Ori (Scholz+, 2005)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/AJ/127/2856">J/AJ/127/2856 : Brown dwarfs in the 2MASS Survey (Burgasser+, 2004)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/MNRAS/356/89">J/MNRAS/356/89 : sigma Ori low-mass stars (Kenyon+, 2005)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/AN/325/705">J/AN/325/705 : RIJHKs of low-mass stars in sigma Ori (Bejar+, 2004)</relatedResource></relationship></content><rights>https://cds.unistra.fr/vizier-org/licences_vizier.html</rights><capability><interface xsi:type="vr:WebBrowser"><accessURL use="full">https://vizier.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/VizieR-2?-source=J/MNRAS/361/211</accessURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at IUCAA: Pune, India">https://vizier.iucaa.in/viz-bin/VizieR-2?-source=J/MNRAS/361/211</mirrorURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at SAAO: SAAO, South Africa">http://vizieridia.saao.ac.za/viz-bin/VizieR-2?-source=J/MNRAS/361/211</mirrorURL></interface></capability><capability><interface xsi:type="vs:ParamHTTP"><accessURL use="base">https://vizier.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/votable?-source=J/MNRAS/361/211</accessURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at IUCAA: Pune, India">https://vizier.iucaa.in/viz-bin/votable?-source=J/MNRAS/361/211</mirrorURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at SAAO: SAAO, South Africa">http://vizieridia.saao.ac.za/viz-bin/votable?-source=J/MNRAS/361/211</mirrorURL><queryType>GET</queryType><resultType>text/xml+votable</resultType></interface></capability><capability standardID="ivo://ivoa.net/std/TAP#aux"><interface xsi:type="vs:ParamHTTP" role="std"><accessURL use="base">https://tapvizier.cds.unistra.fr/TAPVizieR/tap</accessURL></interface></capability><capability xsi:type="cs:ConeSearch" standardID="ivo://ivoa.net/std/ConeSearch"><description>Cone search capability for table J/MNRAS/361/211/table2 (Source catalogue)</description><interface xsi:type="vs:ParamHTTP" role="std"><accessURL use="base">https://vizier.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/conesearch/J/MNRAS/361/211/table2?</accessURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at IUCAA: Pune, India">https://vizier.iucaa.in/viz-bin/conesearch/J/MNRAS/361/211/table2?</mirrorURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at SAAO: SAAO, South Africa">http://vizieridia.saao.ac.za/viz-bin/conesearch/J/MNRAS/361/211/table2?</mirrorURL><queryType>GET</queryType><resultType>text/xml+votable</resultType></interface><maxSR>180.0</maxSR><maxRecords>50000</maxRecords><verbosity>true</verbosity><testQuery><ra>83.814125</ra><dec>-5.46308611</dec><sr>0.005555555555555556</sr></testQuery></capability><coverage><spatial>6/21438-21439</spatial><footprint ivo-id="ivo://ivoa.net/std/moc">https://cdsarc.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/moc/J/MNRAS/361/211?format=ascii</footprint><waveband>Infrared</waveband></coverage><tableset><schema><name>default</name><table><name>J/MNRAS/361/211/table2</name><description>Source catalogue</description><column><name>recno</name><description>Record number assigned by the VizieR team.
