The HeI{lambda}5876 feature present in the earliest spectrum (-7d) classified it as a Type Ib SN. The follow-up observations span from -7 to +266d with respect to the B-band maximum. With a peak absolute magnitude in V band M_V_=-17.76+/-0.15mag and bolometric luminosity log_10_L=42.39+/-0.09erg/s, SN 2017iro is a moderately luminous Type Ib SN. The overall light-curve evolution of SN 2017iro is similar to that of SN 2012au and SN 2009jf during the early (up to ~100d) and late phases (&gt;150d), respectively. The line velocities of both FeII{lambda}5169 and HeI{lambda}5876 are ~9000km/s near the peak. The analysis of the nebular phase spectrum (~+209d) indicates an oxygen mass of ~0.35M_{sun}_. The smaller [OI]/[CaII] flux ratio of ~1 favors a progenitor with a zero-age main-sequence mass in the range ~13-15M_{sun}_, most likely in a binary system, similar to the case of iPTF13bvn. The explosion parameters are estimated by applying different analytical models to the quasi-bolometric light curve of SN 2017iro. ^56^Ni mass synthesized in the explosion has a range of ~0.05-0.10M_{sun}_, ejecta mass ~1.4-4.3M_{sun}_, and kinetic energy ~(0.8-1.9)x10^51^erg.</description><source format="bibcode">2022ApJ...927...61K</source><referenceURL>https://cdsarc.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/cat/J/ApJ/927/61</referenceURL><type>Catalog</type><contentLevel>Research</contentLevel><relationship><relationshipType>IsServedBy</relationshipType><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/TAP">TAP VizieR generic service</relatedResource></relationship><relationship><relationshipType>related-to</relationshipType><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/II/183">II/183 : UBVRI Photometric Standards (Landolt 1992)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/MNRAS/372/1315">J/MNRAS/372/1315 : UBVRI photometry of SN 2004et (Sahu+, 2006)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/A+A/465/71">J/A+A/465/71 : 21cm observations of 452 galaxies (Theureau+, 2007)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/MNRAS/389/955">J/MNRAS/389/955 : u'BVg'r'i'z' light curves of SN 2008ax (Pastorello+, 2008)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/MNRAS/383/1485">J/MNRAS/383/1485 : BVRI light curves of SN 2003jd (Valenti+, 2008)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/ApJ/692/L84">J/ApJ/692/L84 : Photometry of SN 2008D (Malesani+, 2009)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/ApJ/702/226">J/ApJ/702/226 : Swift/UVOT panchromatic obs. of SN 2008D (Modjaz+, 2009)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/ApJ/742/L18">J/ApJ/742/L18 : Follow-up photometry of the SN IIb PTF 11eon (Arcavi+, 2011)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/ApJ/741/97">J/ApJ/741/97 : Light curves of Ibc supernovae (Drout+, 2011)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/MNRAS/412/1441">J/MNRAS/412/1441 : SNe luminosity functions (Li+, 2011)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/MNRAS/416/3138">J/MNRAS/416/3138 : SN 2009jf light curves (Valenti+, 2011)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/other/Sci/337.444">J/other/Sci/337.444 : RV curves of Galactic massive O stars (Sana+, 2012)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/MNRAS/436/774">J/MNRAS/436/774 : Core collapse supernovae (type Ibc) (Eldridge+, 2013)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/MNRAS/431/308">J/MNRAS/431/308 : SN 2011fu BVRI light curves (Kumar+, 2013)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/ApJS/213/19">J/ApJS/213/19 : Optical and near-IR light curves of 64 SNe (Bianco+, 2014)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/AJ/147/99">J/AJ/147/99 : Spectrosc. of 73 stripped core-collapse SNe (Modjaz+, 2014)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/MNRAS/454/95">J/MNRAS/454/95 : SN 2011fu UBVRI griz JHKs LCs (Morales-Garoffolo+, 2015)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/A+A/574/A60">J/A+A/574/A60 : Light curve templates of SNe Ib/c from SDSS (Taddia+, 2015)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/ApJ/825/L22">J/ApJ/825/L22 : BVRI LCs of type Ib supernova iPTF13bvn (Folatelli+, 2016)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/A+A/593/A68">J/A+A/593/A68 : PTF12os and iPTF13bvn spectra &amp;
