The application to a selected subsample of the Gaia Data Release 2 Galactic Cepheids database allows us to derive mass-dependent estimates of their individual distances. By imposing their match with the astrometric values inferred from Gaia, we are able to evaluate the individual mass of each pulsator. The inferred mass distribution is peaked around 5.6M_{sun}_ and 5.4M_{sun}_ for the F and FO pulsators, respectively. If the estimated Gaia parallax offset &lt;{Delta}{omega}&gt;=0.046mas is applied to Gaia parallaxes before imposing their coincidence with the theoretical ones, the inferred mass distribution is found to shift toward lower masses, namely, ~5.2M_{sun}_ and 5.1M_{sun}_ for the F and FO pulsators, respectively. The comparison with independent evaluations of the stellar masses, for a subset of binary Cepheids in our sample, seems to support the predictive capability of the current theoretical scenario. By forcing the coincidence of our mass determinations with these literature values we derive an independent estimate of the mean offset to be applied to Gaia DR2 parallaxes, &lt;{Delta}{omega}&gt;=0.053+/-0.029mas, slightly higher but in agreement within the errors with the Riess+ 2018ApJ...861..126R value.</description><source format="bibcode">2020ApJ...898L...7M</source><referenceURL>https://cdsarc.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/cat/J/ApJ/898/L7</referenceURL><type>Catalog</type><contentLevel>Research</contentLevel><relationship><relationshipType>IsServedBy</relationshipType><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/TAP">TAP VizieR generic service</relatedResource></relationship><relationship><relationshipType>IsServedBy</relationshipType><relatedResource>Conesearch service</relatedResource></relationship><relationship><relationshipType>related-to</relationshipType><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/I/345">I/345 : Gaia DR2 (Gaia Collaboration, 2018)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/AJ/142/87">J/AJ/142/87 : Velocities and light curves of V350 Sgr (Evans+, 2011)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/ApJ/730/119">J/ApJ/730/119 : HST/WFC3 obs. of Cepheids in SN Ia hosts (Riess+, 2011)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/ApJ/813/29">J/ApJ/813/29 : Classical and type II Cepheids IR excesses (Schmidt, 2015)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/A+A/622/A60">J/A+A/622/A60 : Gaia DR2 misclassified RR Lyrae list (Clementini+, 2019)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/A+A/623/A117">J/A+A/623/A117 : Gal.
