These massive star-forming regions span over 200pc across the Perseus arm and have a notorious population of massive stars, from which a large fraction are members of various embedded and young open clusters. From 288 APOGEE spectra showing H-band spectral features typical of O- and B-type sources, 46 probably correspond to previously unknown O-type stars. Therefore, we confirm that Br11-Br13 together with HeII {lambda}16923 (7-12) and HeII {lambda}15723 (7-13) lines contained in the APOGEE spectral bands are useful in providing spectral classification down to one spectral sub-class for massive stars in regions as distant as d~2kpc. The large number of newly found O-type stars as well as the numerous intermediate-mass population confirm that W345 is a very efficient massive star factory, with an integral stellar population probably amounting several thousand solar masses.</description><source format="bibcode">2019ApJ...873...66R</source><referenceURL>https://cdsarc.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/cat/J/ApJ/873/66</referenceURL><type>Catalog</type><contentLevel>Research</contentLevel><relationship><relationshipType>IsServedBy</relationshipType><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/TAP">TAP VizieR generic service</relatedResource></relationship><relationship><relationshipType>IsServedBy</relationshipType><relatedResource>Conesearch service</relatedResource></relationship><relationship><relationshipType>related-to</relationshipType><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/III/76">III/76 : Luminous Stars in the Northern Milky Way (LS) (Hardorp+ 1959-1965)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/III/230">III/230 : Magnitudes &amp; spectral types in 5 galactic fields (Voroshilov+, 1985)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/III/195">III/195 : Atlas of Optical Spectral Classification OB Stars (Walborn+ 1990)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/III/274">III/274 : Galactic O-Star Spectroscopic Survey (GOSSS) (Sota+, 2014)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/VII/233">VII/233 : The 2MASS Extended sources (IPAC/UMass, 2003-2006)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/III/284">III/284 : APOGEE-2 data from DR16 (Majewski+, 2017)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/ApJS/2/389">J/ApJS/2/389 : Observations of O and B stars (Hiltner, 1956)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/ApJ/454/151">J/ApJ/454/151 : OB Associations of the Northern Milky Way (Massey+ 1995)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/ApJ/541/841">J/ApJ/541/841 : UBV photometry and ages of Trapezium systems (Abt+, 2000)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/AJ/129/393">J/AJ/129/393 : UBV photometry in W3 (Oey+, 2005)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/ApJ/688/1142">J/ApJ/688/1142 : Star formation in W5: Spitzer observations (Koenig+, 2008)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/ApJ/743/39">J/ApJ/743/39 : Spitzer obs. of W3 molecular cloud (Rivera-Ingraham+, 2011)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/A+A/554/A3">J/A+A/554/A3 : Vilnius photometry of IC1805 stars (Straizys+, 2013)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/MNRAS/439/3719">J/MNRAS/439/3719 : Embedded clusters infrared photometry (Chavarria+, 2014)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/A+A/564/A40">J/A+A/564/A40 : VFTS.
