We analyze the transition episodes from this source observed with BeppoSAX and RXTE satellites. We find that the X-ray broadband energy spectra of 4U 1728-34 during all spectral states can be modeled by a combination of a thermal (blackbody-like) component, a Comptonized component (which we herein denote as COMPTB), and a Gaussian component. Spectral analysis using this model provides evidence that the photon power-law index {Gamma} is almost constant ({Gamma}=1.99+/-0.02) when kT_e_ changes from 15 to 2.5keV during these spectral transitions.</description><source format="bibcode">2011ApJ...738..128S</source><referenceURL>https://cdsarc.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/cat/J/ApJ/738/128</referenceURL><type>Catalog</type><contentLevel>Research</contentLevel><relationship><relationshipType>IsServedBy</relationshipType><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/TAP">TAP VizieR generic service</relatedResource></relationship><relationship><relationshipType>related-to</relationshipType><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/B/cb">B/cb : Cataclysmic Binaries, LMXBs, and related objects (Ritter+, 2013)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/A+A/545/A27">J/A+A/545/A27 : INTEGRAL/IBIS Galactic Hard X-Ray Survey (Krivonos+, 2012)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/ApJ/714/1424">J/ApJ/714/1424 : Isolated neutron stars from Rosat and Swift (Turner+, 2010)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/A+A/523/A61">J/A+A/523/A61 : INTEGRAL survey of hard X-ray sources (Krivonos+, 2010)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/A+A/522/A68">J/A+A/522/A68 : Variable sources detected by INTEGRAL (Telezhinsky+, 2010)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/ApJS/179/360">J/ApJS/179/360 : Thermonuclear X-ray bursts observed by RXTE (Galloway+, 2008)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/A+A/467/585">J/A+A/467/585 : Sources detected by ISGRI (Bodaghee+, 2007)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/A+A/469/807">J/A+A/469/807 : Catalogue of Galactic low-mass X-ray binaries (Liu+, 2007)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/A+A/458/21">J/A+A/458/21 : INTEGRAL burst observations of 4U 1728-34 (Falanga+, 2006)</relatedResource></relationship></content><rights>https://cds.unistra.fr/vizier-org/licences_vizier.html</rights><capability><interface xsi:type="vr:WebBrowser"><accessURL use="full">https://vizier.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/VizieR-2?-source=J/ApJ/738/128</accessURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at IUCAA: Pune, India">https://vizier.iucaa.in/viz-bin/VizieR-2?-source=J/ApJ/738/128</mirrorURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at SAAO: SAAO, South Africa">http://vizieridia.saao.ac.za/viz-bin/VizieR-2?-source=J/ApJ/738/128</mirrorURL></interface></capability><capability><interface xsi:type="vs:ParamHTTP"><accessURL use="base">https://vizier.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/votable?-source=J/ApJ/738/128</accessURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at IUCAA: Pune, India">https://vizier.iucaa.in/viz-bin/votable?-source=J/ApJ/738/128</mirrorURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at SAAO: SAAO, South Africa">http://vizieridia.saao.ac.za/viz-bin/votable?-source=J/ApJ/738/128</mirrorURL><queryType>GET</queryType><resultType>text/xml+votable</resultType></interface></capability><capability standardID="ivo://ivoa.net/std/TAP#aux"><interface xsi:type="vs:ParamHTTP" role="std"><accessURL use="base">https://tapvizier.cds.unistra.fr/TAPVizieR/tap</accessURL></interface></capability><coverage><footprint ivo-id="ivo://ivoa.net/std/moc"/><waveband>Optical</waveband></coverage><tableset><schema><name>default</name><table><name>J/ApJ/738/128/table4</name><description>*Best-fit parameters of the spectral analysis of PCA &amp; HEXTE/RXTE observations of 4U 1728-34 in the 3-60keV energy range</description><column><name>Exp</name><description>Exposure time</description><unit>s</unit><ucd>time.duration;obs.exposure</ucd><dataType xsi:type="vs:VOTableType">int</dataType></column><column><name>f_logA</name><description>[b] logA fixed (2)</description><ucd>meta.code</ucd><dataType xsi:type="vs:VOTableType" arraysize="1*">char</dataType></column><column><name>e_EW</name><description>EW uncertainty</description><unit>eV</unit><ucd>stat.error;spect.line.eqWidth</ucd><dataType xsi:type="vs:VOTableType">int</dataType></column><column><name>chi2</name><description>{chi}^2^ fit</description><ucd>stat.fit.chi2</ucd><dataType xsi:type="vs:VOTableType">float</dataType></column><column><name>recno</name><description>Record number assigned by the VizieR team.
