Measurements of central velocity dispersion (sigma), total B magnitudes (B_T), the photometric parameter D_n, and the absorption-line index Mgi_2 are presented. Both internal and external comparisons indicate that measurements of log{sigma} are accurate to 0.05 dex, B_T to 0.15 mag, D_n to 0.015 dex, and Mg_2 to 0.017 mag. These data have been used in a previous paper by Dressler and Faber to estimate distances for these galaxies via the D_n - {sigma} relation. It is shown in this paper that the D_n - Mg_2 relation also predicts the same trends of peculiar velocity with distance, but with less accuracy. The relative accuracy of other distance indicators for elliptical galaxies is also discussed.</description><source format="bibcode">1991ApJ...368...54D</source><referenceURL>https://cdsarc.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/cat/J/ApJ/368/54</referenceURL><type>Catalog</type><contentLevel>Research</contentLevel><relationship><relationshipType>IsServedBy</relationshipType><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/TAP">TAP VizieR generic service</relatedResource></relationship></content><rights>https://cds.unistra.fr/vizier-org/licences_vizier.html</rights><capability><interface xsi:type="vr:WebBrowser"><accessURL use="full">https://vizier.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/VizieR-2?-source=J/ApJ/368/54</accessURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at IUCAA: Pune, India">https://vizier.iucaa.in/viz-bin/VizieR-2?-source=J/ApJ/368/54</mirrorURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at SAAO: SAAO, South Africa">http://vizieridia.saao.ac.za/viz-bin/VizieR-2?-source=J/ApJ/368/54</mirrorURL></interface></capability><capability><interface xsi:type="vs:ParamHTTP"><accessURL use="base">https://vizier.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/votable?-source=J/ApJ/368/54</accessURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at IUCAA: Pune, India">https://vizier.iucaa.in/viz-bin/votable?-source=J/ApJ/368/54</mirrorURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at SAAO: SAAO, South Africa">http://vizieridia.saao.ac.za/viz-bin/votable?-source=J/ApJ/368/54</mirrorURL><queryType>GET</queryType><resultType>text/xml+votable</resultType></interface></capability><capability standardID="ivo://ivoa.net/std/TAP#aux"><interface xsi:type="vs:ParamHTTP" role="std"><accessURL use="base">https://tapvizier.cds.unistra.fr/TAPVizieR/tap</accessURL></interface></capability><coverage><footprint ivo-id="ivo://ivoa.net/std/moc"/><waveband>Optical</waveband></coverage><tableset><schema><name>default</name><table><name>J/ApJ/368/54/table1</name><description>catalogue of velocity, total blue magnitude, photometric diameter, velocity dispersion, and absorption-line index</description><column><name>recno</name><description>Record number assigned by the VizieR team.
