To understand how P has evolved in the solar neighborhood, we measured abundances for 163 FGK stars over a range of -1.09&lt;[Fe/H]&lt;0.47 using observations from the Habitable-zone Planet Finder instrument on the Hobby-Eberly Telescope. Atmospheric parameters were calculated by fitting a combination of astrometry, photometry, and Fe I line equivalent widths. Phosphorus abundances were measured by matching synthetic spectra to a P I feature at 10529.52{AA}. Our [P/Fe] ratios show that chemical evolution models generally underpredict P over the observed metallicity range. Additionally, we find that the [P/Fe] differs by ~0.1dex between thin disk and thick disk stars that were identified with kinematics. The P abundances were compared with {alpha}-elements, iron-peak, odd-Z, and s-process elements, and we found that the evolution of P in the disk most strongly resembles that of the {alpha}-elements. We also find that molar P/C and N/C ratios for our sample match the scatter seen from other abundance studies. Finally, we measure a [P/Fe]=0.09{+/-}0.1 ratio in one low-{alpha} halo star and probable Gaia-Sausage-Enceladus member, an abundance ratio ~0.3-0.5 dex lower than the other Milky Way disk and halo stars at similar metallicities. Overall, we find that P is likely most significantly produced by massive stars in core-collapse supernovae, based on the largest P abundance survey to date.</description><source format="bibcode">2022AJ....164...61M</source><referenceURL>https://cdsarc.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/cat/J/AJ/164/61</referenceURL><type>Catalog</type><contentLevel>Research</contentLevel><relationship><relationshipType>IsServedBy</relationshipType><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/TAP">TAP VizieR generic service</relatedResource></relationship><relationship><relationshipType>IsServedBy</relationshipType><relatedResource>Conesearch service</relatedResource></relationship><relationship><relationshipType>related-to</relationshipType><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/B/pastel">B/pastel : The PASTEL catalogue (Soubiran+, 2016-)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/I/259">I/259 : The Tycho-2 Catalogue (Hog+ 2000)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/I/337">I/337 : Gaia DR1 (Gaia Collaboration, 2016)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/III/284">III/284 : APOGEE-2 data from DR16 (Johnsson+, 2020)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/VI/39">VI/39 : Model Atmospheres (Kurucz, 1979)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/VII/233">VII/233 : The 2MASS Extended sources (IPAC/UMass, 2003-2006)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/A+A/275/101">J/A+A/275/101 : Chemical evolution of the galactic disk I.
