We determined the mean metallicity and radial velocity with mean errors of 0.05dex and 2.6km/s, respectively, from a mean of 6.5 members per cluster. One cluster (B113) was too young for a reliable metallicity determination and was excluded from the sample. We combined the sample studied here with 15 clusters previously studied by us using the same technique, and with 7 clusters whose metallicities determined by other authors are on a scale similar to ours. This compilation of 36 clusters is the largest SMC cluster sample currently available with accurate and homogeneously determined metallicities. We found a high probability that the metallicity distribution is bimodal, with potential peaks at -1.1 and -0.8dex. Our data show no strong evidence of a metallicity gradient in the SMC clusters, somewhat at odds with recent evidence from CaII triplet spectra of a large sample of field stars. This may be revealing possible differences in the chemical history of clusters and field stars. Our clusters show a significant dispersion of metallicities, whatever age is considered, which could be reflecting the lack of a unique age-metallicity relation in this galaxy. None of the chemical evolution models currently available in the literature satisfactorily represents the global chemical enrichment processes of SMC clusters.</description><source format="bibcode">2015AJ....149..154P</source><referenceURL>https://cdsarc.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/cat/J/AJ/149/154</referenceURL><type>Catalog</type><contentLevel>Research</contentLevel><relationship><relationshipType>IsServedBy</relationshipType><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/TAP">TAP VizieR generic service</relatedResource></relationship><relationship><relationshipType>IsServedBy</relationshipType><relatedResource>Conesearch service</relatedResource></relationship><relationship><relationshipType>related-to</relationshipType><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/A+A/517/A50">J/A+A/517/A50 : Ages &amp; luminosities of SMC/LMC star clusters (Glatt+, 2010)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/AJ/139/1168">J/AJ/139/1168 : CaII spectroscopy of SMC fields stars (Parisi+, 2010)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/AJ/138/517">J/AJ/138/517 : CaII spectroscopy of SMC red giants (Parisi+, 2009)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/AJ/136/1039">J/AJ/136/1039 : CaII index of SMC red giant branch stars (Carrera+, 2008)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/AJ/132/1630">J/AJ/132/1630 : CaII spectroscopy in Magellanic Cloud clusters</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/A+A/440/111">J/A+A/440/111 : Spectra of SMC star clusters (Piatti+, 2005)</relatedResource></relationship></content><rights>https://cds.unistra.fr/vizier-org/licences_vizier.html</rights><capability><interface xsi:type="vr:WebBrowser"><accessURL use="full">https://vizier.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/VizieR-2?-source=J/AJ/149/154</accessURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at IUCAA: Pune, India">https://vizier.iucaa.in/viz-bin/VizieR-2?-source=J/AJ/149/154</mirrorURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at SAAO: SAAO, South Africa">http://vizieridia.saao.ac.za/viz-bin/VizieR-2?-source=J/AJ/149/154</mirrorURL></interface></capability><capability><interface xsi:type="vs:ParamHTTP"><accessURL use="base">https://vizier.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/votable?-source=J/AJ/149/154</accessURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at IUCAA: Pune, India">https://vizier.iucaa.in/viz-bin/votable?-source=J/AJ/149/154</mirrorURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at SAAO: SAAO, South Africa">http://vizieridia.saao.ac.za/viz-bin/votable?-source=J/AJ/149/154</mirrorURL><queryType>GET</queryType><resultType>text/xml+votable</resultType></interface></capability><capability standardID="ivo://ivoa.net/std/TAP#aux"><interface xsi:type="vs:ParamHTTP" role="std"><accessURL use="base">https://tapvizier.cds.unistra.fr/TAPVizieR/tap</accessURL></interface></capability><capability xsi:type="cs:ConeSearch" standardID="ivo://ivoa.net/std/ConeSearch"><description>Cone search capability for table J/AJ/149/154/table1 (Small Magellanic Cloud (SMC) clusters sample)</description><interface xsi:type="vs:ParamHTTP" role="std"><accessURL use="base">https://vizier.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/conesearch/J/AJ/149/154/table1?</accessURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at IUCAA: Pune, India">https://vizier.iucaa.in/viz-bin/conesearch/J/AJ/149/154/table1?</mirrorURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at SAAO: SAAO, South Africa">http://vizieridia.saao.ac.za/viz-bin/conesearch/J/AJ/149/154/table1?</mirrorURL><queryType>GET</queryType><resultType>text/xml+votable</resultType></interface><maxSR>180.0</maxSR><maxRecords>50000</maxRecords><verbosity>true</verbosity><testQuery><ra>15.1271667</ra><dec>-73.0873333</dec><sr>0.005555555555555556</sr></testQuery></capability><coverage><spatial>6/32953 32958 33287 33293 33295 33306 33313 33315 33320 33329 33330</spatial><footprint ivo-id="ivo://ivoa.net/std/moc">https://cdsarc.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/moc/J/AJ/149/154?format=ascii</footprint></coverage><tableset><schema><name>default</name><table><name>J/AJ/149/154/table1</name><description>Small Magellanic Cloud (SMC) clusters sample</description><column><name>SimbadName</name><description>Simbad column added by the CDS</description><ucd>meta.id</ucd><dataType xsi:type="vs:VOTableType" arraysize="15*">char</dataType></column><column><name>recno</name><description>Record number assigned by the VizieR team.
