We analysed variations of a double-peaked profile of the Halpha emission line in the spectrum of pi Aqr that was observed in many phases during ~40 orbital cycles in 2004-2013. We applied the discrete Fourier transform (DFT) method to search for periodicity in the peak intensity ratio (V/R). Doppler tomography was used to study the structure of the disk around the primary. The dominant frequency in the power spectrum of the Halpha V/R ratio is 0.011873d^-1^, which corresponds to a period of 84.2(2) days and agrees with the earlier determined orbital period of the system P_orb_=84.1d. The V/R shows a sinusoidal variation that is phase-locked with the orbital period. Doppler maps of all our spectra show a non-uniform structure of the disk around the primary: a ring with the inner and outer radii at V_in_~450km/s and V_out_~200km/s, respectively, along with an extended stable region (spot) at V_x_~225km/s and Vy~100km/s. The disk radius of ~65R_{sun}_=0.33AU was estimated by assuming Keplerian motion of a particle on a circular orbit at the disk's outer edge.</description><source format="bibcode">2013A&amp;A...560A..30Z</source><referenceURL>https://cdsarc.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/cat/J/A+A/560/A30</referenceURL><type>Catalog</type><contentLevel>Research</contentLevel><relationship><relationshipType>IsServedBy</relationshipType><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/TAP">TAP VizieR generic service</relatedResource></relationship><relationship><relationshipType>related-to</relationshipType><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/ApJ/709/1306">J/ApJ/709/1306 : Spectropolarimetry of 60 Cyg and {pi} Aqr (Wisniewski+, 2010)</relatedResource></relationship></content><rights>https://cds.unistra.fr/vizier-org/licences_vizier.html</rights><capability><interface xsi:type="vr:WebBrowser"><accessURL use="full">https://vizier.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/VizieR-2?-source=J/A+A/560/A30</accessURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at IUCAA: Pune, India">https://vizier.iucaa.in/viz-bin/VizieR-2?-source=J/A+A/560/A30</mirrorURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at SAAO: SAAO, South Africa">http://vizieridia.saao.ac.za/viz-bin/VizieR-2?-source=J/A+A/560/A30</mirrorURL></interface></capability><capability><interface xsi:type="vs:ParamHTTP"><accessURL use="base">https://vizier.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/votable?-source=J/A+A/560/A30</accessURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at IUCAA: Pune, India">https://vizier.iucaa.in/viz-bin/votable?-source=J/A+A/560/A30</mirrorURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at SAAO: SAAO, South Africa">http://vizieridia.saao.ac.za/viz-bin/votable?-source=J/A+A/560/A30</mirrorURL><queryType>GET</queryType><resultType>text/xml+votable</resultType></interface></capability><capability standardID="ivo://ivoa.net/std/TAP#aux"><interface xsi:type="vs:ParamHTTP" role="std"><accessURL use="base">https://tapvizier.cds.unistra.fr/TAPVizieR/tap</accessURL></interface></capability><coverage><footprint ivo-id="ivo://ivoa.net/std/moc"/><waveband>Optical</waveband></coverage><tableset><schema><name>default</name><table><name>J/A+A/560/A30/table1</name><description>The dates of observations of {pi} Aqr, the source, and measurements of the H{alpha} emission line</description><column><name>recno</name><description>Record number assigned by the VizieR team.
