From this, the near-infrared extinction law is found to be approximated by a power law A_lambda_{prop.to}lambda^-1.9+/-0.1^. Near- and mid-infrared colour-colour properties of known Mira stars are reviewed. From the distribution of the dereddened infrared colours of the SiO target stars we infer mass-loss rates between 10^-7^ and 10^-5^M_{sun}_/yr.</description><source format="bibcode">2005A&amp;A...435..575M</source><referenceURL>https://cdsarc.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/cat/J/A+A/435/575</referenceURL><type>Catalog</type><contentLevel>Research</contentLevel><relationship><relationshipType>IsServedBy</relationshipType><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/TAP">TAP VizieR generic service</relatedResource></relationship><relationship><relationshipType>IsServedBy</relationshipType><relatedResource>Conesearch service</relatedResource></relationship><relationship><relationshipType>related-to</relationshipType><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/A+A/393/115">J/A+A/393/115 : 86GHz SiO maser survey of late-type stars (Messineo+, 2002)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/A+A/418/103">J/A+A/418/103 : 86GHz SiO maser survey in the Inner Galaxy (Messineo+, 2004)</relatedResource></relationship></content><rights>https://cds.unistra.fr/vizier-org/licences_vizier.html</rights><capability><interface xsi:type="vr:WebBrowser"><accessURL use="full">https://vizier.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/VizieR-2?-source=J/A+A/435/575</accessURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at IUCAA: Pune, India">https://vizier.iucaa.in/viz-bin/VizieR-2?-source=J/A+A/435/575</mirrorURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at SAAO: SAAO, South Africa">http://vizieridia.saao.ac.za/viz-bin/VizieR-2?-source=J/A+A/435/575</mirrorURL></interface></capability><capability><interface xsi:type="vs:ParamHTTP"><accessURL use="base">https://vizier.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/votable?-source=J/A+A/435/575</accessURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at IUCAA: Pune, India">https://vizier.iucaa.in/viz-bin/votable?-source=J/A+A/435/575</mirrorURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at SAAO: SAAO, South Africa">http://vizieridia.saao.ac.za/viz-bin/votable?-source=J/A+A/435/575</mirrorURL><queryType>GET</queryType><resultType>text/xml+votable</resultType></interface></capability><capability standardID="ivo://ivoa.net/std/TAP#aux"><interface xsi:type="vs:ParamHTTP" role="std"><accessURL use="base">https://tapvizier.cds.unistra.fr/TAPVizieR/tap</accessURL></interface></capability><capability xsi:type="cs:ConeSearch" standardID="ivo://ivoa.net/std/ConeSearch"><description>Cone search capability for table J/A+A/435/575/table3 (Interstellar extinction estimates Ak in the direction of SiO targets)</description><interface xsi:type="vs:ParamHTTP" role="std"><accessURL use="base">https://vizier.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/conesearch/J/A+A/435/575/table3?</accessURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at IUCAA: Pune, India">https://vizier.iucaa.in/viz-bin/conesearch/J/A+A/435/575/table3?</mirrorURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at SAAO: SAAO, South Africa">http://vizieridia.saao.ac.za/viz-bin/conesearch/J/A+A/435/575/table3?</mirrorURL><queryType>GET</queryType><resultType>text/xml+votable</resultType></interface><maxSR>180.0</maxSR><maxRecords>50000</maxRecords><verbosity>true</verbosity><testQuery><ra>262.92075</ra><dec>-32.0655278</dec><sr>0.005555555555555556</sr></testQuery></capability><coverage><spatial>5/7203 7206-7207 7225 7228 7376 6/28807 28811 28823 28848-28849 28851-28853 28864 28872 28874-28875 28878 28882 28890 28896-28897 28916 28918-28919 29090-29091 29096-29097 29100-29101 29103 29112 29114-29115 29118-29119 29162 29457 29461 29509-29511 29517 29522-29523 29528-29529 29532 29534-29535 30218-30219 30222 30241 30244-30245 30256 30258-30259</spatial><footprint ivo-id="ivo://ivoa.net/std/moc">https://cdsarc.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/moc/J/A+A/435/575?format=ascii</footprint><waveband>Infrared</waveband><waveband>Radio</waveband></coverage><tableset><schema><name>default</name><table><name>J/A+A/435/575/table3</name><description>Interstellar extinction estimates Ak in the direction of SiO targets</description><column><name>recno</name><description>Record number assigned by the VizieR team.
