To avoid biases linked to subjective sample selection criteria only canonical samples, taken from the literature, are considered. It is found that the average frequency of Seyferts in all samples, is near 2%. Most Seyferts lying in pairs and compact groups show disturbed morphological appearance, whilst in loose groups disturbed and ``isolated'' Seyferts have roughly the same proportion. Then, within each sample, structures which host a Seyfert are compared to structures which do not. No appreciable differences regarding dynamical properties are found.</description><source format="bibcode">1998A&amp;A...335..912K</source><referenceURL>https://cdsarc.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/cat/J/A+A/335/912</referenceURL><type>Catalog</type><contentLevel>Research</contentLevel><relationship><relationshipType>IsServedBy</relationshipType><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/TAP">TAP VizieR generic service</relatedResource></relationship><relationship><relationshipType>IsServedBy</relationshipType><relatedResource>Conesearch service</relatedResource></relationship><relationship><relationshipType>related-to</relationshipType><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/VII/82">VII/82 : Catalogue of isolated galaxies</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/other/ApL/30.1">J/other/ApL/30.1 : Southern cat. of isolated pairs extension (Reduzzi+ 1995)</relatedResource></relationship></content><rights>https://cds.unistra.fr/vizier-org/licences_vizier.html</rights><capability><interface xsi:type="vr:WebBrowser"><accessURL use="full">https://vizier.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/VizieR-2?-source=J/A+A/335/912</accessURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at IUCAA: Pune, India">https://vizier.iucaa.in/viz-bin/VizieR-2?-source=J/A+A/335/912</mirrorURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at SAAO: SAAO, South Africa">http://vizieridia.saao.ac.za/viz-bin/VizieR-2?-source=J/A+A/335/912</mirrorURL></interface></capability><capability><interface xsi:type="vs:ParamHTTP"><accessURL use="base">https://vizier.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/votable?-source=J/A+A/335/912</accessURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at IUCAA: Pune, India">https://vizier.iucaa.in/viz-bin/votable?-source=J/A+A/335/912</mirrorURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at SAAO: SAAO, South Africa">http://vizieridia.saao.ac.za/viz-bin/votable?-source=J/A+A/335/912</mirrorURL><queryType>GET</queryType><resultType>text/xml+votable</resultType></interface></capability><capability standardID="ivo://ivoa.net/std/TAP#aux"><interface xsi:type="vs:ParamHTTP" role="std"><accessURL use="base">https://tapvizier.cds.unistra.fr/TAPVizieR/tap</accessURL></interface></capability><capability xsi:type="cs:ConeSearch" standardID="ivo://ivoa.net/std/ConeSearch"><description>Cone search capability for table J/A+A/335/912/tables (Seyferts in different samples)</description><interface xsi:type="vs:ParamHTTP" role="std"><accessURL use="base">https://vizier.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/conesearch/J/A+A/335/912/tables?</accessURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at IUCAA: Pune, India">https://vizier.iucaa.in/viz-bin/conesearch/J/A+A/335/912/tables?</mirrorURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at SAAO: SAAO, South Africa">http://vizieridia.saao.ac.za/viz-bin/conesearch/J/A+A/335/912/tables?</mirrorURL><queryType>GET</queryType><resultType>text/xml+votable</resultType></interface><maxSR>180.0</maxSR><maxRecords>50000</maxRecords><verbosity>true</verbosity><testQuery><ra>43.798</ra><dec>-0.18353</dec><sr>0.005555555555555556</sr></testQuery></capability><coverage><spatial>6/941 2214 2229 2248 2266 2358 2564 4439 4447 5232 5367 5395 5970 5975-5976 6093 6241 7132 7550 7606 7642 7659 7869 8702 8922 9707 10348 10404 10475 10560 10912 10924 10927 11027 11029 12306 13511 16835 17134 17525 17659 17748 17754 19283 19619 22654 22915 23017 23075 23102 24699 24896 25647 25790 25890 25907 26303 27426 27721 27767 27803 27914 27918 27945 28495 28517 28535 28593 28599 28609 30044 32683 33704 33920 33958 34025 34531 34534 34913 35067 35300 35987 35993 36716 38351 38703-38704 38868 42012 42027 42120 43625 43677 43748 43877 43925 45399 45468 45754 45883 46078 46399 46442 46481 46513 46615 46811 46987 47027</spatial><footprint ivo-id="ivo://ivoa.net/std/moc">https://cdsarc.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/moc/J/A+A/335/912?format=ascii</footprint><waveband>Optical</waveband></coverage><tableset><schema><name>default</name><table><name>J/A+A/335/912/tables</name><description>Seyferts in different samples</description><column><name>Type</name><description>Seyfert type (2)</description><ucd>meta.note</ucd><dataType xsi:type="vs:VOTableType" arraysize="2*">char</dataType></column><column><name>recno</name><description>Record number assigned by the VizieR team.
