The file "spectra.dat" contains a summary of the spectra. The user should consult the paper for details of the observations and a discussion of the limitations of the spectrophotometry. The spectra are integrated measurements made with apertures comparable to the diameters of the galaxies. The original spectra have been combined, rebinned to a common wavelength scale, and normalized in flux to unity at a reference wavelength of 555nm. An atmospheric extinction correction has been applied to the data, but otherwise they are not corrected for reddening, redshift, etc. The spectral range covered is 365-710 nm and the resolution is 5-8{AA}. Each spectrum consists in 1726 normalized flux values spaced each 2{AA}, stored as a file in the subdirectory "sp". Tests show that the spectrophotometry is accurate to the few percent level over small wavelength regions, and at the 10% level over the entire wavelength range. Although the data are useful for a variety of applications, the user should be forewarned that they may not be suitable for applications requiring precision colors over a long wavelength baseline (e.g., computation of K-corrections, some spectral synthesis applications).</description><source format="bibcode">1992ApJS...79..255K</source><referenceURL>https://cdsarc.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/cat/VII/141</referenceURL><type>Catalog</type><contentLevel>Research</contentLevel><relationship><relationshipType>IsServedBy</relationshipType><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/TAP">TAP VizieR generic service</relatedResource></relationship><relationship><relationshipType>IsServedBy</relationshipType><relatedResource>Conesearch service</relatedResource></relationship></content><rights>https://cds.unistra.fr/vizier-org/licences_vizier.html</rights><capability><interface xsi:type="vr:WebBrowser"><accessURL use="full">https://vizier.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/VizieR-2?-source=VII/141</accessURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at IUCAA: Pune, India">https://vizier.iucaa.in/viz-bin/VizieR-2?-source=VII/141</mirrorURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at SAAO: SAAO, South Africa">http://vizieridia.saao.ac.za/viz-bin/VizieR-2?-source=VII/141</mirrorURL></interface></capability><capability><interface xsi:type="vs:ParamHTTP"><accessURL use="base">https://vizier.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/votable?-source=VII/141</accessURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at IUCAA: Pune, India">https://vizier.iucaa.in/viz-bin/votable?-source=VII/141</mirrorURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at SAAO: SAAO, South Africa">http://vizieridia.saao.ac.za/viz-bin/votable?-source=VII/141</mirrorURL><queryType>GET</queryType><resultType>text/xml+votable</resultType></interface></capability><capability standardID="ivo://ivoa.net/std/TAP#aux"><interface xsi:type="vs:ParamHTTP" role="std"><accessURL use="base">https://tapvizier.cds.unistra.fr/TAPVizieR/tap</accessURL></interface></capability><capability xsi:type="cs:ConeSearch" standardID="ivo://ivoa.net/std/ConeSearch"><description>Cone search capability for table VII/141/spectra (List of spectra (55 galaxies + night sky))</description><interface xsi:type="vs:ParamHTTP" role="std"><accessURL use="base">https://vizier.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/conesearch/VII/141/spectra?</accessURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at IUCAA: Pune, India">https://vizier.iucaa.in/viz-bin/conesearch/VII/141/spectra?</mirrorURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at SAAO: SAAO, South Africa">http://vizieridia.saao.ac.za/viz-bin/conesearch/VII/141/spectra?</mirrorURL><queryType>GET</queryType><resultType>text/xml+votable</resultType></interface><maxSR>180.0</maxSR><maxRecords>50000</maxRecords><verbosity>true</verbosity><testQuery><ra>205.27375</ra><dec>67.672222</dec><sr>0.005555555555555556</sr></testQuery></capability><coverage><spatial>6/1701 3389 4149 4439 4511 5182 5799 5980 6034 6046 6098 6123 7604 7606 7642 7659 7869 7878 8173 8509 8562 8922 10379 10761 10769 10905 10911 11027 11180 11355 11457 11886 12005 12019 12122 15161 16120 18809 19283 21198 26128 26472 27512 27515 27719 27861 28147 28167 28173 28251 28322 28653 31158 32426 36332</spatial><footprint ivo-id="ivo://ivoa.net/std/moc">https://cdsarc.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/moc/VII/141?format=ascii</footprint><waveband>Optical</waveband></coverage><tableset><schema><name>default</name><table><name>VII/141/spectra</name><description>List of spectra (55 galaxies + night sky)</description><column><name>recno</name><description>Record number assigned by the VizieR team.
