The calibration equation covers the ranges 0.032d&lt;P_orb_&lt;=0.454d, -0.08&lt;(J-H)_0_&lt;=1.54, -0.03&lt;(H-Ks)_0_&lt;=0.56 and 2.0&lt;M_J_&lt;11.7; It is based on trigonometric parallaxes with relative errors of ({sigma}{pi}/{pi})&lt;=0.4. By using the period-luminosity-colours (PLCs) relation, we estimated the distances of cataclysmic variables with orbital periods and 2MASS observations and compared them with distances found from other methods. We suggest that the PLCs relation can be a useful statistical tool to estimate the distances of cataclysmic variables.</description><source format="bibcode">2007NewA...12..446A</source><referenceURL>https://cdsarc.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/cat/J/other/NewA/12.446</referenceURL><type>Catalog</type><contentLevel>Research</contentLevel><relationship><relationshipType>IsServedBy</relationshipType><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/TAP">TAP VizieR generic service</relatedResource></relationship><relationship><relationshipType>IsServedBy</relationshipType><relatedResource>Conesearch service</relatedResource></relationship><relationship><relationshipType>related-to</relationshipType><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/II/246">II/246 : 2MASS All-Sky Catalog of Point Sources (Cutri+ 2003)</relatedResource></relationship></content><rights>https://cds.unistra.fr/vizier-org/licences_vizier.html</rights><capability><interface xsi:type="vr:WebBrowser"><accessURL use="full">https://vizier.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/VizieR-2?-source=J/other/NewA/12.446</accessURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at IUCAA: Pune, India">https://vizier.iucaa.in/viz-bin/VizieR-2?-source=J/other/NewA/12.446</mirrorURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at SAAO: SAAO, South Africa">http://vizieridia.saao.ac.za/viz-bin/VizieR-2?-source=J/other/NewA/12.446</mirrorURL></interface></capability><capability><interface xsi:type="vs:ParamHTTP"><accessURL use="base">https://vizier.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/votable?-source=J/other/NewA/12.446</accessURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at IUCAA: Pune, India">https://vizier.iucaa.in/viz-bin/votable?-source=J/other/NewA/12.446</mirrorURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at SAAO: SAAO, South Africa">http://vizieridia.saao.ac.za/viz-bin/votable?-source=J/other/NewA/12.446</mirrorURL><queryType>GET</queryType><resultType>text/xml+votable</resultType></interface></capability><capability standardID="ivo://ivoa.net/std/TAP#aux"><interface xsi:type="vs:ParamHTTP" role="std"><accessURL use="base">https://tapvizier.cds.unistra.fr/TAPVizieR/tap</accessURL></interface></capability><capability xsi:type="cs:ConeSearch" standardID="ivo://ivoa.net/std/ConeSearch"><description>Cone search capability for table J/other/NewA/12.446/table3 (Main catalogue data)</description><interface xsi:type="vs:ParamHTTP" role="std"><accessURL use="base">https://vizier.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/conesearch/J/other/NewA/12.446/table3?</accessURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at IUCAA: Pune, India">https://vizier.iucaa.in/viz-bin/conesearch/J/other/NewA/12.446/table3?</mirrorURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at SAAO: SAAO, South Africa">http://vizieridia.saao.ac.za/viz-bin/conesearch/J/other/NewA/12.446/table3?</mirrorURL><queryType>GET</queryType><resultType>text/xml+votable</resultType></interface><maxSR>180.0</maxSR><maxRecords>50000</maxRecords><verbosity>true</verbosity><testQuery><ra>138.0673333</ra><dec>50.8985278</dec><sr>0.005555555555555556</sr></testQuery></capability><coverage><spatial>6/158 557 597 1346 2440 2661 2883 2994 3029 3247 3601 4279 4348 4356 4515 4990 5210 5833 6319 6604 7199 7320 7582 7906 8596 11084 12830 12888 12896 13106 13975 14441 14701 14906 14964 15014 15036 15385 16280 17248 18229 18590 18817 20066 20940 21476 22076 22166 22464 22485 22573 22977 24061 24487 25481 25577 26995 27204 27612 27945 29217 29307 29406 29459 30647 31774 32017 32244 33067 33403 34139 36130 37000 37022 37252 38348 39397 39459 40578 45580 45805 47496 49112</spatial><spectral>1.5062136169708525e-19 1.7003137259100215e-19</spectral><footprint ivo-id="ivo://ivoa.net/std/moc">https://cdsarc.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/moc/J/other/NewA/12.446?format=ascii</footprint><waveband>Infrared</waveband></coverage><tableset><schema><name>default</name><table><name>J/other/NewA/12.446/table3</name><description>Main catalogue data</description><column><name>recno</name><description>Record number assigned by the VizieR team.
