We use data from the Galaxy And Mass Assembly (GAMA) survey and the Kilo-Degree Survey (KiDS). We derive redshift distributions in bins of apparent magnitude to the limits of the GAMA- KiDS photometric catalogue: m_r_ &lt;= 23; more than a decade in luminosity beyond the limits of the GAMA spectroscopic redshift sample via clustering-based redshift inference. This technique uses spatial cross-correlation statistics for a reference set with known redshifts (in our case, the main GAMA sample) to derive the redshift distribution for the target ensemble. For the calibration of the redshift distribution, we use a simple parametrization with an adaptive normalization factor over the interval 0.005 &lt; z &lt; 0.48 to derive the clustering redshift results. We find that the GLF has a relatively constant power-law slope {alpha} =~ -1.2 for -17 &lt;= M_r_ &lt;= -13, and then appears to steepen sharply for -13 &lt;= M_r_ &lt;= -10. This upturn appears to be where globular clusters (GCs) take over to dominate the source counts as a function of luminosity. Thus, we have mapped the GLF across the full range of the z ~ 0 field galaxy population from the most luminous galaxies down to the GC scale.</description><source format="bibcode">2022MNRAS.509.5467K</source><referenceURL>https://cdsarc.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/cat/J/MNRAS/509/5467</referenceURL><type>Catalog</type><contentLevel>Research</contentLevel><relationship><relationshipType>IsServedBy</relationshipType><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/TAP">TAP VizieR generic service</relatedResource></relationship><relationship><relationshipType>related-to</relationshipType><relatedResource>https://kids.strw.leidenuniv.nl/DR4/ : KiDS DR4</relatedResource><relatedResource>https://www.gama-survey.org/ : GAMA home page</relatedResource></relationship></content><rights>https://cds.unistra.fr/vizier-org/licences_vizier.html</rights><capability><interface xsi:type="vr:WebBrowser"><accessURL use="full">https://vizier.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/VizieR-2?-source=J/MNRAS/509/5467</accessURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at IUCAA: Pune, India">https://vizier.iucaa.in/viz-bin/VizieR-2?-source=J/MNRAS/509/5467</mirrorURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at SAAO: SAAO, South Africa">http://vizieridia.saao.ac.za/viz-bin/VizieR-2?-source=J/MNRAS/509/5467</mirrorURL></interface></capability><capability><interface xsi:type="vs:ParamHTTP"><accessURL use="base">https://vizier.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/votable?-source=J/MNRAS/509/5467</accessURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at IUCAA: Pune, India">https://vizier.iucaa.in/viz-bin/votable?-source=J/MNRAS/509/5467</mirrorURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at SAAO: SAAO, South Africa">http://vizieridia.saao.ac.za/viz-bin/votable?-source=J/MNRAS/509/5467</mirrorURL><queryType>GET</queryType><resultType>text/xml+votable</resultType></interface></capability><capability standardID="ivo://ivoa.net/std/TAP#aux"><interface xsi:type="vs:ParamHTTP" role="std"><accessURL use="base">https://tapvizier.cds.unistra.fr/TAPVizieR/tap</accessURL></interface></capability><coverage><footprint ivo-id="ivo://ivoa.net/std/moc"/><waveband>Optical</waveband></coverage><tableset><schema><name>default</name><table><name>J/MNRAS/509/5467/glf</name><description>Density distribution of the galaxy luminosity function at z &lt;0.1</description><column><name>recno</name><description>Record number assigned by the VizieR team.
