We have cross-matched the Sydney University Molonglo Sky Survey (SUMSS) radio catalogue at 843MHz with the VISTA Hemisphere Survey (VHS) near-infrared catalogue using the likelihood ratio technique. Photometric redshifts from the Dark Energy Survey are then used to assign redshifts to the radio source counterparts. We found a total of 249 radio sources with photometric redshifts over a 148deg^2^ region. By fitting the optical and near-infrared photometry with spectral synthesis models we determine the stellar mass and star formation rates of the radio sources, finding typical stellar masses of 10^11^-10^12^M_{sun}_ for the powerful high-redshift radio galaxies. We also find a population of low-mass blue galaxies. However, by comparing the derived star formation rates to the radio luminosity, we suggest that these sources are false positives in our likelihood ratio analysis. Follow-up, higher resolution (~&lt;5arcsec) radio imaging would help alleviate these mid-identifications, as the limiting factor in our cross-identifications is the low resolution (~45arcsec) of the SUMSS radio imaging.</description><source format="bibcode">2019MNRAS.489.3403M</source><referenceURL>https://cdsarc.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/cat/J/MNRAS/489/3403</referenceURL><type>Catalog</type><contentLevel>Research</contentLevel><relationship><relationshipType>IsServedBy</relationshipType><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/TAP">TAP VizieR generic service</relatedResource></relationship><relationship><relationshipType>IsServedBy</relationshipType><relatedResource>Conesearch service</relatedResource></relationship><relationship><relationshipType>related-to</relationshipType><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/VIII/81">VIII/81 : Sydney University Molonglo Sky Survey (SUMSS V2.1) (Mauch+ 2008)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/II/367">II/367 : The VISTA Hemisphere Survey (VHS) catalog DR5 (McMahon+, 2020)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/II/357">II/357 : The Dark Energy Survey (DES): Data Release 1 (Abbott+, 2018)</relatedResource></relationship></content><rights>https://cds.unistra.fr/vizier-org/licences_vizier.html</rights><capability><interface xsi:type="vr:WebBrowser"><accessURL use="full">https://vizier.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/VizieR-2?-source=J/MNRAS/489/3403</accessURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at IUCAA: Pune, India">https://vizier.iucaa.in/viz-bin/VizieR-2?-source=J/MNRAS/489/3403</mirrorURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at SAAO: SAAO, South Africa">http://vizieridia.saao.ac.za/viz-bin/VizieR-2?-source=J/MNRAS/489/3403</mirrorURL></interface></capability><capability><interface xsi:type="vs:ParamHTTP"><accessURL use="base">https://vizier.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/votable?-source=J/MNRAS/489/3403</accessURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at IUCAA: Pune, India">https://vizier.iucaa.in/viz-bin/votable?-source=J/MNRAS/489/3403</mirrorURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at SAAO: SAAO, South Africa">http://vizieridia.saao.ac.za/viz-bin/votable?-source=J/MNRAS/489/3403</mirrorURL><queryType>GET</queryType><resultType>text/xml+votable</resultType></interface></capability><capability standardID="ivo://ivoa.net/std/TAP#aux"><interface xsi:type="vs:ParamHTTP" role="std"><accessURL use="base">https://tapvizier.cds.unistra.fr/TAPVizieR/tap</accessURL></interface></capability><capability xsi:type="cs:ConeSearch" standardID="ivo://ivoa.net/std/ConeSearch"><description>Cone search capability for table J/MNRAS/489/3403/table1 (The radio galaxy overlapping SUMSS+VHS+DES defined in this paper)</description><interface xsi:type="vs:ParamHTTP" role="std"><accessURL use="base">https://vizier.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/conesearch/J/MNRAS/489/3403/table1?</accessURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at IUCAA: Pune, India">https://vizier.iucaa.in/viz-bin/conesearch/J/MNRAS/489/3403/table1?</mirrorURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at SAAO: SAAO, South Africa">http://vizieridia.saao.ac.za/viz-bin/conesearch/J/MNRAS/489/3403/table1?</mirrorURL><queryType>GET</queryType><resultType>text/xml+votable</resultType></interface><maxSR>180.0</maxSR><maxRecords>50000</maxRecords><verbosity>true</verbosity><testQuery><ra>72.5027917</ra><dec>-46.3035833</dec><sr>0.005555555555555556</sr></testQuery></capability><coverage><spatial>5/8461 8472 8482-8483 8486-8488 8495 8497-8498 8500 8502-8504 8507-8508 6/33241 33243 33247 33268 33271 33819-33820 33823 33831 33837 33848-33850 33852-33853 33855 33858 33864-33865 33867 33892 33894 33896-33897 33899 33901-33903 33912 33914-33915 33923 33925 33927 33936-33937 33939 33942 33956 33958-33959 33965 33969 33971-33972 33974-33975 33977-33979 33984-33986 33998-33999 34005 34007 34021 34023 34025-34027 34040 34042 34177 34184-34185 34368 34372</spatial><spectral>5.585776613014535e-25 5.585776613014535e-25</spectral><footprint ivo-id="ivo://ivoa.net/std/moc">https://cdsarc.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/moc/J/MNRAS/489/3403?format=ascii</footprint><waveband>Optical</waveband><waveband>Infrared</waveband><waveband>Radio</waveband></coverage><tableset><schema><name>default</name><table><name>J/MNRAS/489/3403/table1</name><description>The radio galaxy overlapping SUMSS+VHS+DES defined in this paper</description><column><name>SimbadName</name><description>Simbad column added by the CDS</description><ucd>meta.id</ucd><dataType xsi:type="vs:VOTableType" arraysize="28*">char</dataType><flag>nullable</flag></column><column><name>recno</name><description>Record number assigned by the VizieR team.
