In order to carry out these observations, we had to perform an opto-mechanical modification to Camera 1 of the 1.6 m to meet the specifications of the observational programme. We focused our efforts on objects from the Washington Double Star Catalogue that were obtained during four observing runs allocated in 2017 and 2018. Among these objects, we have been interested in performing a follow-up observation of double stars discovered by the Hipparcos mission. We report here 464 astrometric measurements of 139 pairs, with angular separations ranging from 0.09 to 6.36arcsec, including 361 systems with separations smaller than 1arcsec. We estimated a mean error in separation of 15mas and 1.2deg in position angle. We confirmed 15 double stars discovered by Hipparcos, as well as four new pairs observed in previously known binaries turning them into triple systems, three of which have separations smaller than 0.16arcsec. With these observations we introduce a new instrument to the astronomical community available at the Observatorio do Pico dos Dias, capable of identifying relatively bright binaries, with angular separation very close to the resolution power of the telescope.</description><source format="bibcode">2018MNRAS.481.5307G</source><referenceURL>https://cdsarc.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/cat/J/MNRAS/481/5307</referenceURL><type>Catalog</type><contentLevel>Research</contentLevel><relationship><relationshipType>IsServedBy</relationshipType><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/TAP">TAP VizieR generic service</relatedResource></relationship><relationship><relationshipType>IsServedBy</relationshipType><relatedResource>Conesearch service</relatedResource></relationship><relationship><relationshipType>related-to</relationshipType><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/B/wds">B/wds : The Washington Visual Double Star Catalog (Mason+ 2001-2020)</relatedResource></relationship></content><rights>https://cds.unistra.fr/vizier-org/licences_vizier.html</rights><capability><interface xsi:type="vr:WebBrowser"><accessURL use="full">https://vizier.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/VizieR-2?-source=J/MNRAS/481/5307</accessURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at IUCAA: Pune, India">https://vizier.iucaa.in/viz-bin/VizieR-2?-source=J/MNRAS/481/5307</mirrorURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at SAAO: SAAO, South Africa">http://vizieridia.saao.ac.za/viz-bin/VizieR-2?-source=J/MNRAS/481/5307</mirrorURL></interface></capability><capability><interface xsi:type="vs:ParamHTTP"><accessURL use="base">https://vizier.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/votable?-source=J/MNRAS/481/5307</accessURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at IUCAA: Pune, India">https://vizier.iucaa.in/viz-bin/votable?-source=J/MNRAS/481/5307</mirrorURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at SAAO: SAAO, South Africa">http://vizieridia.saao.ac.za/viz-bin/votable?-source=J/MNRAS/481/5307</mirrorURL><queryType>GET</queryType><resultType>text/xml+votable</resultType></interface></capability><capability standardID="ivo://ivoa.net/std/TAP#aux"><interface xsi:type="vs:ParamHTTP" role="std"><accessURL use="base">https://tapvizier.cds.unistra.fr/TAPVizieR/tap</accessURL></interface></capability><capability xsi:type="cs:ConeSearch" standardID="ivo://ivoa.net/std/ConeSearch"><description>Cone search capability for table J/MNRAS/481/5307/table3 (Multi-band astrometry of known pairs observed with the 1.60m telescope)</description><interface xsi:type="vs:ParamHTTP" role="std"><accessURL use="base">https://vizier.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/conesearch/J/MNRAS/481/5307/table3?</accessURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at IUCAA: Pune, India">https://vizier.iucaa.in/viz-bin/conesearch/J/MNRAS/481/5307/table3?</mirrorURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at SAAO: SAAO, South Africa">http://vizieridia.saao.ac.za/viz-bin/conesearch/J/MNRAS/481/5307/table3?</mirrorURL><queryType>GET</queryType><resultType>text/xml+votable</resultType></interface><maxSR>180.0</maxSR><maxRecords>50000</maxRecords><verbosity>true</verbosity><testQuery><ra>1.5548333</ra><dec>-1.8871667</dec><sr>0.005555555555555556</sr></testQuery></capability><coverage><spatial>6/4184 4942 16506 17251 17399 17422 17875 17955 18135 24790 24797 24805 24813 24828 24855 24879 24882 24886 24893 24896 24902 24904-24905 24910 24967 24969 24971 24975 24986 25024 25109-25110 25153 25156-25157 25166 25184-25185 25217 25219 25250 27822 29313 33436 34947 35257 35442 35600 35690 35791 35808 35856 35971 36056 36066 36151 36738 37886 38558 38855 38889 38893 38895-38896 38908 40221 40235 40255 40271 40276 40322 40337 40339 40344-40345 42988 43996 43998 44009 44011-44013 44018 44245 44265 44352 44361 44378 44388 44436 44565 44568 44570 44573 44585-44586 44588 44590 44596-44597 44600-44601 44607 44611-44612 44614 44631 44650 44683 44688-44689 44698 44704</spatial><footprint ivo-id="ivo://ivoa.net/std/moc">https://cdsarc.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/moc/J/MNRAS/481/5307?format=ascii</footprint></coverage><tableset><schema><name>default</name><table><name>J/MNRAS/481/5307/table3</name><description>Multi-band astrometry of known pairs observed with the 1.60m telescope</description><column><name>SimbadName</name><description>Simbad column added by the CDS</description><ucd>meta.id</ucd><dataType xsi:type="vs:VOTableType" arraysize="15*">char</dataType><flag>nullable</flag></column><column><name>e_PA</name><description>Error on PA</description><unit>deg</unit><ucd>stat.error</ucd><dataType xsi:type="vs:VOTableType">float</dataType></column><column><name>f_Name</name><description>Flag on Name (1)</description><ucd>meta.code</ucd><dataType xsi:type="vs:VOTableType" arraysize="1*">char</dataType></column><column><name>recno</name><description>Record number assigned by the VizieR team.
