We present a study, based on our co-added image stacking technique, in which our aim is to detect the optical emission from unresolved, isolated radio sources of the Very Large Array (VLA) Faint Images of the Radio Sky at Twenty-cm (FIRST) survey that have no identified optical counterparts in the Sloan Digital Sky Survey (SDSS) Stripe 82 co-added data set. From the FIRST catalogue, 2116 such radio point sources were selected, and cut-out images, centred on the FIRST coordinates, were generated from the Stripe 82 images. The already co-added cut-outs were stacked once again to obtain images of high signal-to-noise ratio, in the hope that optical emission from the radio sources would become detectable. Multiple stacks were generated, based on the radio luminosity of the point sources. The resulting stacked images show central peaks similar to point sources. The peaks have very red colours with steep optical spectral energy distributions.</description><source format="bibcode">2012MNRAS.426..833V</source><referenceURL>https://cdsarc.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/cat/J/MNRAS/426/833</referenceURL><type>Catalog</type><contentLevel>Research</contentLevel><relationship><relationshipType>IsServedBy</relationshipType><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/TAP">TAP VizieR generic service</relatedResource></relationship><relationship><relationshipType>IsServedBy</relationshipType><relatedResource>Conesearch service</relatedResource></relationship><relationship><relationshipType>related-to</relationshipType><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/VIII/90">VIII/90 : The FIRST Survey Catalog, Version 12Feb16 (Becker+ 2012)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/A+A/416/35">J/A+A/416/35 : Radio Emission from VLA FIRST Survey AGN (Wadadekar, 2004)</relatedResource></relationship></content><rights>https://cds.unistra.fr/vizier-org/licences_vizier.html</rights><capability><interface xsi:type="vr:WebBrowser"><accessURL use="full">https://vizier.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/VizieR-2?-source=J/MNRAS/426/833</accessURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at IUCAA: Pune, India">https://vizier.iucaa.in/viz-bin/VizieR-2?-source=J/MNRAS/426/833</mirrorURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at SAAO: SAAO, South Africa">http://vizieridia.saao.ac.za/viz-bin/VizieR-2?-source=J/MNRAS/426/833</mirrorURL></interface></capability><capability><interface xsi:type="vs:ParamHTTP"><accessURL use="base">https://vizier.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/votable?-source=J/MNRAS/426/833</accessURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at IUCAA: Pune, India">https://vizier.iucaa.in/viz-bin/votable?-source=J/MNRAS/426/833</mirrorURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at SAAO: SAAO, South Africa">http://vizieridia.saao.ac.za/viz-bin/votable?-source=J/MNRAS/426/833</mirrorURL><queryType>GET</queryType><resultType>text/xml+votable</resultType></interface></capability><capability standardID="ivo://ivoa.net/std/TAP#aux"><interface xsi:type="vs:ParamHTTP" role="std"><accessURL use="base">https://tapvizier.cds.unistra.fr/TAPVizieR/tap</accessURL></interface></capability><capability xsi:type="cs:ConeSearch" standardID="ivo://ivoa.net/std/ConeSearch"><description>Cone search capability for table J/MNRAS/426/833/table1 (Deep co-add stack (DCS) sample: 2116 point sources from the VLA FIRST)</description><interface xsi:type="vs:ParamHTTP" role="std"><accessURL use="base">https://vizier.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/conesearch/J/MNRAS/426/833/table1?</accessURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at IUCAA: Pune, India">https://vizier.iucaa.in/viz-bin/conesearch/J/MNRAS/426/833/table1?</mirrorURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at SAAO: SAAO, South Africa">http://vizieridia.saao.ac.za/viz-bin/conesearch/J/MNRAS/426/833/table1?</mirrorURL><queryType>GET</queryType><resultType>text/xml+votable</resultType></interface><maxSR>180.0</maxSR><maxRecords>50000</maxRecords><verbosity>true</verbosity><testQuery><ra>331.28799444</ra><dec>1.22569389</dec><sr>0.005555555555555556</sr></testQuery></capability><coverage><spatial>5/4437-4438 4441-4442 4453-4454 4457-4458 4501-4502 4505-4506 4517-4518 4521-4522 4687 4693-4694 4697-4698 4708-4710 4713-4714 4757-4758 4761-4762 4773-4774 4800 5801-5802 6/0-2 4 17405-17407 17661-17663 17725-17727 17741-17743 17745-17747 17756-17758 17761-17763 17772-17774 17776-17778 17805-17807 17809-17811 17820-17822 17825-17827 17836-17838 17840-17842 17856 17858 17981-17983 17997-17999 18001-18003 18012-18014 18017 18019 18028-18030 18032-18034 18061-18063 18065-18067 18076-18078 18081-18083 18092-18094 18096-18098 18112-18114 18176-18178 18685-18687 18765-18767 18769-18771 18780-18782 18785-18787 18796-18798 18800-18802 18829-18831 18844-18846 18849-18851 18860-18862 18864-18866 18880-18882 19005-19007 19021-19023 19025-19027 19036-19038 19041-19043 19052-19054 19056-19058 19085-19087 19089-19091 19100 19102 19109 19120-19122 19136-19138 19456-19458 23182 23201-23203 23212-23214 23216 23218 36859 36861-36863</spatial><spectral>9.276497240453405e-25 9.276497240453405e-25</spectral><footprint ivo-id="ivo://ivoa.net/std/moc">https://cdsarc.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/moc/J/MNRAS/426/833?format=ascii</footprint><waveband>Radio</waveband></coverage><tableset><schema><name>default</name><table><name>J/MNRAS/426/833/table1</name><description>Deep co-add stack (DCS) sample: 2116 point sources from the VLA FIRST</description><column><name>recno</name><description>Record number assigned by the VizieR team.
