When taking into account all of the selection effects within our host galaxy sample, we draw the following conclusions. 1. Within interacting, or 'disturbed', systems there is a real, and statistically significant, increase in the fraction of stripped-envelope supernovae in the central regions. A discussion into what may cause this increased fraction, compared to the more common Type IIP supernovae and Type II supernovae without subclassifications, is presented. Selection effects are shown not to drive this result, and so we propose that this study provides direct evidence for a high-mass weighted initial mass function within the central regions of disturbed galaxies. 2. Within 'undisturbed' spiral galaxies the radial distribution of Type Ib and Type Ic supernovae is statistically very different, with the latter showing a more centrally concentrated distribution. This could be driven by metallicity gradients in these undisturbed galaxies, or radial variations in other properties (binarity or stellar rotation) driving envelope loss in progenitor stars. This result is not found in 'disturbed' systems, where the distributions of Type Ib and Ic supernovae are consistent.</description><source format="bibcode">2012MNRAS.424.2841H</source><referenceURL>https://cdsarc.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/cat/J/MNRAS/424/2841</referenceURL><type>Catalog</type><contentLevel>Research</contentLevel><relationship><relationshipType>IsServedBy</relationshipType><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/TAP">TAP VizieR generic service</relatedResource></relationship><relationship><relationshipType>IsServedBy</relationshipType><relatedResource>Conesearch service</relatedResource></relationship></content><rights>https://cds.unistra.fr/vizier-org/licences_vizier.html</rights><capability><interface xsi:type="vr:WebBrowser"><accessURL use="full">https://vizier.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/VizieR-2?-source=J/MNRAS/424/2841</accessURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at IUCAA: Pune, India">https://vizier.iucaa.in/viz-bin/VizieR-2?-source=J/MNRAS/424/2841</mirrorURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at SAAO: SAAO, South Africa">http://vizieridia.saao.ac.za/viz-bin/VizieR-2?-source=J/MNRAS/424/2841</mirrorURL></interface></capability><capability><interface xsi:type="vs:ParamHTTP"><accessURL use="base">https://vizier.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/votable?-source=J/MNRAS/424/2841</accessURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at IUCAA: Pune, India">https://vizier.iucaa.in/viz-bin/votable?-source=J/MNRAS/424/2841</mirrorURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at SAAO: SAAO, South Africa">http://vizieridia.saao.ac.za/viz-bin/votable?-source=J/MNRAS/424/2841</mirrorURL><queryType>GET</queryType><resultType>text/xml+votable</resultType></interface></capability><capability standardID="ivo://ivoa.net/std/TAP#aux"><interface xsi:type="vs:ParamHTTP" role="std"><accessURL use="base">https://tapvizier.cds.unistra.fr/TAPVizieR/tap</accessURL></interface></capability><capability xsi:type="cs:ConeSearch" standardID="ivo://ivoa.net/std/ConeSearch"><description>Cone search capability for table J/MNRAS/424/2841/table1 (The galaxy classification information for our sample)</description><interface xsi:type="vs:ParamHTTP" role="std"><accessURL use="base">https://vizier.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/conesearch/J/MNRAS/424/2841/table1?</accessURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at IUCAA: Pune, India">https://vizier.iucaa.in/viz-bin/conesearch/J/MNRAS/424/2841/table1?</mirrorURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at SAAO: SAAO, South Africa">http://vizieridia.saao.ac.za/viz-bin/conesearch/J/MNRAS/424/2841/table1?</mirrorURL><queryType>GET</queryType><resultType>text/xml+votable</resultType></interface><maxSR>180.0</maxSR><maxRecords>50000</maxRecords><verbosity>true</verbosity><testQuery><ra>20.5374375</ra><dec>0.9453361</dec><sr>0.005555555555555556</sr></testQuery></capability><coverage><spatial>6/611 909 1601 2372 3446 3862 3906 3909 3929 4178 4381 4401 4410 4490 4704 4957 5028 5148 5190 5192 5200 5244 5342 5399 5492 5589 5593 5654 5715 5751 5793 5797 5907 5966 5978 5995 5999 6013 6034 6098 6146 6347 6360 6411 6605 6615 6740 7129 7191 7241 7386 7529 7606 7659 7743 7896 7980 8042 8106 8167 8173 8195-8196 8225 8256 8922 8927 9437 9471 9721 10192 10202 10380-10381 10475 10595 10621 10628 10632 10637 10642 10739 10892 10900 10905 10927 10935 10991 11000 11027 11041 11100 11173 11197 11246-11247 11392 11394 11435 11460 11470 11492 11624 11814 11944 13461 14851 15147 15592 15847 15955 16091 16120 16194 16197 17688 17747 17761 17780 18013 18809 18895 19710 20000 20722 20875 21198 21220 21256 21953 22353 22613 22721 22751 23078 23528 23815 24027 25079 25229 25344 25438 25513 25599 25788 25889 25958 25960 26068 26113 26161 26170 26175 26234 26303 26309 26330 26336 26617 26872 27043 27334 27368 27426 27468 27596 27604 27643 27712 27736 27741 27766 27828 27861 27955 28023 28035 28123 28146 28167 28213 28263 28348 28496 28498 28521 28576 28593 28619 28631 28670 30970 31882 32555 33271 34343 34404 34531 34736 34764 36081 36107 36397 36450 36785 36793 36820 37429 37436 38139 38313 38872 38907 38956 39863 40210 40214 40337 40410 40454 40527 40789 40939 41110 41586 42027 43423 43603 43671 43712 43878 43955 44026 44822 44947</spatial><footprint ivo-id="ivo://ivoa.net/std/moc">https://cdsarc.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/moc/J/MNRAS/424/2841?format=ascii</footprint><waveband>Optical</waveband></coverage><tableset><schema><name>default</name><table><name>J/MNRAS/424/2841/table1</name><description>The galaxy classification information for our sample</description><column><name>S</name><description>[X-?] Shells flag</description><ucd>meta.code</ucd><dataType xsi:type="vs:VOTableType" arraysize="1*">char</dataType></column><column><name>T</name><description>[X-?] Tails flag</description><ucd>meta.code</ucd><dataType xsi:type="vs:VOTableType" arraysize="1*">char</dataType></column><column><name>recno</name><description>Record number assigned by the VizieR team.
