We present new spectroscopic data for 532 early-type galaxies, predominantly Abell cluster members with cz&lt;12000km/s. We tabulate 919 individual measurements, from six observing runs, for recession velocity, cz, central velocity dispersion, {sigma}, and magnesium line-strength indices, Mg_2_ and Mgb. The median estimated error, per measurement, in {sigma} is 5 per cent. The Mg_2_ line-strength data have median errors of 0.009mag. The observed scatter between repeat measurements is largely accounted for by photon-counting errors. These data will be employed in forthcoming papers, where they will form part of a merged and standardized catalogue of Fundamental Plane data for use in cluster distance estimates and peculiar velocity analyses.</description><source format="bibcode">2000MNRAS.313..469S</source><referenceURL>https://cdsarc.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/cat/J/MNRAS/313/469</referenceURL><type>Catalog</type><contentLevel>Research</contentLevel><relationship><relationshipType>IsServedBy</relationshipType><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/TAP">TAP VizieR generic service</relatedResource></relationship><relationship><relationshipType>IsServedBy</relationshipType><relatedResource>Conesearch service</relatedResource></relationship><relationship><relationshipType>related-to</relationshipType><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/VII/198">VII/198 : Mark III Catalog of Galaxy Peculiar Velocities (Willick+ 1997)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/MNRAS/327/249">J/MNRAS/327/249 : SMAC.
