This catalog lists 1858 sources brighter than 14mag in the H band with a polarization signal-to-noise ratio greater than three in the J, H, or K_s_ bands. Based on the relationship between the extinction and the polarization degree, we argue that the polarization mostly arises from dichroic extinctions caused by local interstellar dust in the LMC. This catalog allows us to map polarization structures to examine the global geometry of the local magnetic field, and to show a statistical analysis of the polarization of each field to understand its polarization properties. In the selected fields with coherent polarization position angles, we estimate magnetic field strengths in the range of 3-25{mu}G using the Chandrasekhar-Fermi method. This implies the presence of large-scale magnetic fields on a scale of around 100 parsecs. When comparing mid- and far-infrared dust emission maps, we confirmed that the polarization patterns are well aligned with molecular clouds around the star-forming regions.</description><source format="bibcode">2016ApJS..222....2K</source><referenceURL>https://cdsarc.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/cat/J/ApJS/222/2</referenceURL><type>Catalog</type><contentLevel>Research</contentLevel><relationship><relationshipType>IsServedBy</relationshipType><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/TAP">TAP VizieR generic service</relatedResource></relationship><relationship><relationshipType>IsServedBy</relationshipType><relatedResource>Conesearch service</relatedResource></relationship><relationship><relationshipType>related-to</relationshipType><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/I/320">I/320 : SPM 4.0 Catalog (Girard+, 2011)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/II/288">II/288 : IRSF Magellanic Clouds Point Source Catalog (Kato+ 2007)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/AJ/144/179">J/AJ/144/179 : AKARI-LMC Point-source catalog (Kato+, 2012)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/ApJ/759/25">J/ApJ/759/25 : Rotation measures at 1.4GHz toward the LMC (Mao+, 2012)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/ApJ/741/21">J/ApJ/741/21 : Polarization of stars in Taurus (Chapman+, 2011)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/ApJS/178/56">J/ApJS/178/56 : CO observations of LMC Giant Molecular clouds (Fukui+, 2008)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/ApJS/171/419">J/ApJS/171/419 : Catalog of LMC HI clouds (Kim+, 2007)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/AJ/132/2268">J/AJ/132/2268 : SAGE calibration stars (Meixner+, 2006)</relatedResource></relationship></content><rights>https://cds.unistra.fr/vizier-org/licences_vizier.html</rights><capability><interface xsi:type="vr:WebBrowser"><accessURL use="full">https://vizier.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/VizieR-2?-source=J/ApJS/222/2</accessURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at IUCAA: Pune, India">https://vizier.iucaa.in/viz-bin/VizieR-2?-source=J/ApJS/222/2</mirrorURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at SAAO: SAAO, South Africa">http://vizieridia.saao.ac.za/viz-bin/VizieR-2?-source=J/ApJS/222/2</mirrorURL></interface></capability><capability><interface xsi:type="vs:ParamHTTP"><accessURL use="base">https://vizier.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/votable?-source=J/ApJS/222/2</accessURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at IUCAA: Pune, India">https://vizier.iucaa.in/viz-bin/votable?-source=J/ApJS/222/2</mirrorURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at SAAO: SAAO, South Africa">http://vizieridia.saao.ac.za/viz-bin/votable?-source=J/ApJS/222/2</mirrorURL><queryType>GET</queryType><resultType>text/xml+votable</resultType></interface></capability><capability standardID="ivo://ivoa.net/std/TAP#aux"><interface xsi:type="vs:ParamHTTP" role="std"><accessURL use="base">https://tapvizier.cds.unistra.fr/TAPVizieR/tap</accessURL></interface></capability><capability xsi:type="cs:ConeSearch" standardID="ivo://ivoa.net/std/ConeSearch"><description>Cone search capability for table J/ApJS/222/2/table2 (Photometric and polarimetric catalog of the sources on the northeastern regions in the LMC)</description><interface xsi:type="vs:ParamHTTP" role="std"><accessURL use="base">https://vizier.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/conesearch/J/ApJS/222/2/table2?</accessURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at IUCAA: Pune, India">https://vizier.iucaa.in/viz-bin/conesearch/J/ApJS/222/2/table2?</mirrorURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at SAAO: SAAO, South Africa">http://vizieridia.saao.ac.za/viz-bin/conesearch/J/ApJS/222/2/table2?</mirrorURL><queryType>GET</queryType><resultType>text/xml+votable</resultType></interface><maxSR>180.0</maxSR><maxRecords>50000</maxRecords><verbosity>true</verbosity><testQuery><ra>84.93476111</ra><dec>-69.04403694</dec><sr>0.005555555555555556</sr></testQuery></capability><coverage><spatial>6/33091 33094 33095</spatial><spectral>3.322582951404819e-19 4.920466254354166e-19</spectral><footprint ivo-id="ivo://ivoa.net/std/moc">https://cdsarc.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/moc/J/ApJS/222/2?format=ascii</footprint><waveband>Infrared</waveband><waveband>Optical</waveband></coverage><tableset><schema><name>default</name><table><name>J/ApJS/222/2/table2</name><description>Photometric and polarimetric catalog of the sources on the northeastern regions in the LMC</description><column><name>recno</name><description>Record number assigned by the VizieR team.
