We investigate the relationship between emission-line properties and accretion rate for a sample of 230 "ordinary" type 1 quasars and 18 WLQs at z&lt;0.5 and 1.5&lt;z&lt;3.5 that have rest-frame ultraviolet and optical spectral measurements. We apply a correction to the H{beta}-based black hole mass (M_BH_) estimates of these quasars using the strength of the optical FeII emission. We confirm previous findings that WLQs' M_BH_ values are overestimated by up to an order of magnitude using the traditional broad-emission-line region size-luminosity relation. With this MBH correction, we find a significant correlation between H{beta}-based Eddington luminosity ratios and a combination of the rest-frame CIV equivalent width and CIV blueshift with respect to the systemic redshift. This correlation holds for both ordinary quasars and WLQs, which suggests that the two-dimensional CIV parameter space can serve as an indicator of accretion rate in all type 1 quasars across a wide range of spectral properties.</description><source format="bibcode">2023ApJ...950...97H</source><referenceURL>https://cdsarc.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/cat/J/ApJ/950/97</referenceURL><type>Catalog</type><contentLevel>Research</contentLevel><relationship><relationshipType>IsServedBy</relationshipType><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/TAP">TAP VizieR generic service</relatedResource></relationship><relationship><relationshipType>IsServedBy</relationshipType><relatedResource>Conesearch service</relatedResource></relationship><relationship><relationshipType>related-to</relationshipType><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/VII/289">VII/289 : SDSS quasar catalog, sixteenth data release (DR16Q) (Lyke+, 2020)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/AJ/122/503">J/AJ/122/503 : SDSS u*g*r*i*z* phot. and redshift of QSOs (Anderson+, 2001)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/AJ/129/2542">J/AJ/129/2542 : BL Lac from SDSS (Collinge+, 2005)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/ApJS/166/470">J/ApJS/166/470 : SDSS-Spitzer type I QSOs IR photometry (Richards+, 2006)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/ApJ/699/782">J/ApJ/699/782 : High-redshift SDSS-DR5 QSOs (Diamond-Stanic+, 2009)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/ApJ/696/580">J/ApJ/696/580 : Properties of weak emission-line QSOs (WLQ) (Shemmer+, 2009)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/AJ/139/390">J/AJ/139/390 : Opt. selected BL Lac objects from SDSS-DR7 (Plotkin+, 2010)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/ApJS/194/45">J/ApJS/194/45 : QSO properties from SDSS-DR7 (Shen+, 2011)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/ApJ/747/10">J/ApJ/747/10 : X-ray and multiwavelength properties of 11 WLQs (Wu+, 2012)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/ApJ/782/45">J/ApJ/782/45 : SEAMBHs.
