According to its coordinates RAJ2000=18:51:39.7,DEJ2000=-05:34:51.1, and the distance (7.11_-1.22_^+1.56^kpc away from Earth) inferred from the second Gaia data release, it is found that W-R 121-16 is located in the Far 3kpc Arm, and it is 3.75kpc away from the Galactic Center. The optical spectra obtained by the Large Sky Area Multi-Object Fiber Spectroscopic Telescope and the 2.16m telescope, both located at the Xinglong Observatory in China, indicate that this is a W-R star of the transitional WN7o/WC subtype. A current stellar mass of about 7.1_-1.1_^+1.7^M_{sun}_, a mass- loss rate of dM/dt=10^-4.97^(_-0.20_^+0.16^)M_{sun}_/yr, a bolometric luminosity of log L/L_{sun}_=4.88_-0.15_^+0.17^, and a stellar temperature of T_*_=47_-5_^+9^kK are derived by fitting the observed spectrum with a specific Potsdam W-R model. The magnitude in V-band varies between 13.95 and 14.14mag, while no period is found. Based on the optical spectra, the time domain data, and the indices of the astrometric solution of the Gaia data, W-R 121-16 is likely a transitional WN/C single star rather than a WN+WC binary.</description><source format="bibcode">2020ApJ...902...62Z</source><referenceURL>https://cdsarc.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/cat/J/ApJ/902/62</referenceURL><type>Catalog</type><contentLevel>Research</contentLevel><relationship><relationshipType>IsServedBy</relationshipType><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/TAP">TAP VizieR generic service</relatedResource></relationship><relationship><relationshipType>related-to</relationshipType><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/III/215">III/215 : 7th Catalog of Galactic Wolf-Rayet stars (van der Hucht, 2001)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/I/347">I/347 : Distances to 1.33 billion stars in Gaia DR2 (Bailer-Jones+, 2018)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/I/345">I/345 : Gaia DR2 (Gaia Collaboration, 2018)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/II/366">II/366 : ASAS-SN catalog of variable stars (Jayasinghe+, 2018-2020)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/V/146">V/146 : LAMOST DR1 catalogs (Luo+, 2015)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/MNRAS/381/418">J/MNRAS/381/418 : Wolf-Rayet population in NGC 1313 (Hadfield+, 2007)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/ApJ/764/21">J/ApJ/764/21 : Stellar evolutionary models with 13-120Msun (Chieffi+, 2013)</relatedResource></relationship></content><rights>https://cds.unistra.fr/vizier-org/licences_vizier.html</rights><capability><interface xsi:type="vr:WebBrowser"><accessURL use="full">https://vizier.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/VizieR-2?-source=J/ApJ/902/62</accessURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at IUCAA: Pune, India">https://vizier.iucaa.in/viz-bin/VizieR-2?-source=J/ApJ/902/62</mirrorURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at SAAO: SAAO, South Africa">http://vizieridia.saao.ac.za/viz-bin/VizieR-2?-source=J/ApJ/902/62</mirrorURL></interface></capability><capability><interface xsi:type="vs:ParamHTTP"><accessURL use="base">https://vizier.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/votable?-source=J/ApJ/902/62</accessURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at IUCAA: Pune, India">https://vizier.iucaa.in/viz-bin/votable?-source=J/ApJ/902/62</mirrorURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at SAAO: SAAO, South Africa">http://vizieridia.saao.ac.za/viz-bin/votable?-source=J/ApJ/902/62</mirrorURL><queryType>GET</queryType><resultType>text/xml+votable</resultType></interface></capability><capability standardID="ivo://ivoa.net/std/TAP#aux"><interface xsi:type="vs:ParamHTTP" role="std"><accessURL use="base">https://tapvizier.cds.unistra.fr/TAPVizieR/tap</accessURL></interface></capability><coverage><footprint ivo-id="ivo://ivoa.net/std/moc"/><waveband>Optical</waveband></coverage><tableset><schema><name>default</name><table><name>J/ApJ/902/62/bfosc30</name><description>BFOSC/2.16m telescope spectrum from 2019-10-30</description><column><name>recno</name><description>Record number assigned by the VizieR team.
