It has been suggested that one of these streams, Gjoll, is associated with the globular cluster NGC 3201, but thus far the association has only been based on kinematics of the stream stars. In this work we identify five likely stream members in the Gaia data that are bright enough for high-resolution spectroscopic follow-up with the Harlan J. Smith telescope at McDonald Observatory. One star is ruled out as a member based on its radial velocity. Abundance analysis of the remaining four kinematic members reveals a good chemical match to NGC 3201 for two of the stars, driven by their similar Al and {alpha}-element abundances. Of the remaining two, one shows no chemical similarity to NGC 3201 and is likely an unassociated Milky Way halo field star, while the other exhibits a similar Al abundance but has somewhat lower {alpha}-element abundances. The chemical tagging of stars in the Gjoll stream to NGC3201 confirms this association and provides direct proof of the hierarchical formation of the Milky Way.</description><source format="bibcode">2020ApJ...901...23H</source><referenceURL>https://cdsarc.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/cat/J/ApJ/901/23</referenceURL><type>Catalog</type><contentLevel>Research</contentLevel><relationship><relationshipType>IsServedBy</relationshipType><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/TAP">TAP VizieR generic service</relatedResource></relationship><relationship><relationshipType>IsServedBy</relationshipType><relatedResource>Conesearch service</relatedResource></relationship><relationship><relationshipType>related-to</relationshipType><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/I/345">I/345 : Gaia DR2 (Gaia Collaboration, 2018)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/I/347">I/347 : Distances to 1.33 billion stars in Gaia DR2 (Bailer-Jones+, 2018)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/A+A/404/187">J/A+A/404/187 : Equivalent widths for metal-poor stars (Gratton+, 2003)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/A+A/505/139">J/A+A/505/139 : Abundances of red giants in 17 GCs (Carretta+, 2009)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/AJ/141/175">J/AJ/141/175 : Abundances in M15 RGB/RHB stars (Sobeck+, 2011)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/ApJ/778/149">J/ApJ/778/149 : Abundances for 3 stars in Sgr dSph (McWilliam+, 2013)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/ApJ/801/69">J/ApJ/801/69 : Iron EWs for NGC3201 giant star members (Mucciarelli+, 2015)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/MNRAS/446/3319">J/MNRAS/446/3319 : Line list for the NGC 1851 stars (Yong+, 2015)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/AJ/156/18">J/AJ/156/18 : APOGEE: companions of evolved stars (Price-Whelan+, 2018)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/MNRAS/478/4513">J/MNRAS/478/4513 : GALAH Survey DR2 (Buder+, 2018)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/A+A/616/A12">J/A+A/616/A12 : Gaia DR2 sources in GC and dSph (Gaia Collaboration+, 2018)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/ApJ/864/57">J/ApJ/864/57 : Abund. of field &amp; GC RR Lyrae.
