Gaia 18dvy was noted by the Gaia alerts system when its light curve exhibited a ~4mag rise in 2018-2019. The brightening was also observable at mid-infared wavelengths. The infrared colors of Gaia 18dvy became bluer as the outburst progressed. Its optical and near-infrared spectroscopic characteristics in the outburst phase are consistent with those of bona fide FU Orionis-type young eruptive stars. The progenitor of the outburst is probably a low-mass K-type star with an optical extinction of ~3mag. A radiative transfer modeling of the circumstellar structure, based on the quiescent spectral energy distribution, indicates a disk with a mass of 4x10^-3^M_{sun}_. Our simple accretion disk modeling implies that the accretion rate had been exponentially increasing for more than 3yr until mid-2019, when it reached a peak value of 6.9x10^-6^M_{sun}_/yr. In many respects, Gaia 18dvy is similar to the FU Ori-type object HBC722.</description><source format="bibcode">2020ApJ...899..130S</source><referenceURL>https://cdsarc.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/cat/J/ApJ/899/130</referenceURL><type>Catalog</type><contentLevel>Research</contentLevel><relationship><relationshipType>IsServedBy</relationshipType><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/TAP">TAP VizieR generic service</relatedResource></relationship><relationship><relationshipType>related-to</relationshipType><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/II/319">II/319 : UKIDSS-DR9 LAS, GCS and DXS Surveys (Lawrence+ 2012)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/II/314">II/314 : UKIDSS-DR8 LAS, GCS and DXS Surveys (Lawrence+ 2012)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/I/347">I/347 : Distances to 1.33 billion stars in Gaia DR2 (Bailer-Jones+, 2018)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/I/345">I/345 : Gaia DR2 (Gaia Collaboration, 2018)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/ApJ/454/151">J/ApJ/454/151 : OB Associations of the Northern Milky Way (Massey+ 1995)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/ApJ/733/L8">J/ApJ/733/L8 : Optical and IR photometry of [KOS94] HA11 (Kun+, 2011)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/ApJ/750/99">J/ApJ/750/99 : The Pan-STARRS1 photometric system (Tonry+, 2012)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/ApJS/208/9">J/ApJS/208/9 : Intrinsic colors and temperatures of PMS stars (Pecaut+, 2013)</relatedResource><relatedResource>http://gsaweb.ast.cam.ac.uk/alerts/alert/Gaia18dvy/ : Gaia alerts for Gaia18dvy</relatedResource></relationship></content><rights>https://cds.unistra.fr/vizier-org/licences_vizier.html</rights><capability><interface xsi:type="vr:WebBrowser"><accessURL use="full">https://vizier.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/VizieR-2?-source=J/ApJ/899/130</accessURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at IUCAA: Pune, India">https://vizier.iucaa.in/viz-bin/VizieR-2?-source=J/ApJ/899/130</mirrorURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at SAAO: SAAO, South Africa">http://vizieridia.saao.ac.za/viz-bin/VizieR-2?-source=J/ApJ/899/130</mirrorURL></interface></capability><capability><interface xsi:type="vs:ParamHTTP"><accessURL use="base">https://vizier.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/votable?-source=J/ApJ/899/130</accessURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at IUCAA: Pune, India">https://vizier.iucaa.in/viz-bin/votable?-source=J/ApJ/899/130</mirrorURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at SAAO: SAAO, South Africa">http://vizieridia.saao.ac.za/viz-bin/votable?-source=J/ApJ/899/130</mirrorURL><queryType>GET</queryType><resultType>text/xml+votable</resultType></interface></capability><capability standardID="ivo://ivoa.net/std/TAP#aux"><interface xsi:type="vs:ParamHTTP" role="std"><accessURL use="base">https://tapvizier.cds.unistra.fr/TAPVizieR/tap</accessURL></interface></capability><coverage><footprint ivo-id="ivo://ivoa.net/std/moc"/><waveband>Optical</waveband><waveband>Infrared</waveband></coverage><tableset><schema><name>default</name><table><name>J/ApJ/899/130/table1</name><description>Follow-up photometry</description><column><name>recno</name><description>Record number assigned by the VizieR team.
