ICMEs, and the shocks they drive, cause a sudden decrease in the cosmic-ray flux in their local area of the heliosphere, called a Forbush decrease (FD). A method of defining FDs is established, and an automated process for identifying FDs in neutron monitor (NM) data is created. The correlation between ICME properties and FD magnitude in 12 different NMs is examined for 91 ICME-associated FD events occurring from 2001 through 2019 August. A number of ICME properties show positive correlation with FD magnitude, with decreasing correlation strength as NM cutoff rigidity increases.</description><source format="bibcode">2020ApJ...896..133L</source><referenceURL>https://cdsarc.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/cat/J/ApJ/896/133</referenceURL><type>Catalog</type><contentLevel>Research</contentLevel><relationship><relationshipType>IsServedBy</relationshipType><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/TAP">TAP VizieR generic service</relatedResource></relationship><relationship><relationshipType>related-to</relationshipType><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/A+A/422/337">J/A+A/422/337 : Solar EUV Post-Eruptive Arcades (Tripathi+, 2004)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/A+A/440/373">J/A+A/440/373 : Earthbound interplanetary shocks (Howard+, 2005)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/ApJ/709/1238">J/ApJ/709/1238 : Solar Coronal Mass Ejection (Yeates+, 2010)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/ApJ/737/L35">J/ApJ/737/L35 : Pulsed Alfven waves in the solar wind (Gosling+, 2011)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/ApJ/759/69">J/ApJ/759/69 : Solar electron events 1995-2005 with WIND/3DP (Wang+, 2012)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/MNRAS/456/1542">J/MNRAS/456/1542 : Predicting CMEs transit times (Sudar+, 2016)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/ApJ/831/105">J/ApJ/831/105 : Global energetics of solar flares.
