The main motivation for working with B-type stars is their importance in the evolution of young stellar clusters; however, we also take advantage of having a numerous sample (316 stars) of B-type star candidates in APOGEE2-N, for which we also have optical (3600-9100{AA}) counterparts from the Large Sky Area Multi-Object Fiber Spectroscopic Telescope (LAMOST) survey. By first obtaining an accurate spectral classification of the sources using the LAMOST DR3 spectra and the canonical spectral classification scheme, we found a linear relation between optical spectral types and the equivalent widths of the hydrogen lines of the Brackett series in the APOGEE2-N NIR spectra. This relation extends smoothly from a similar relation for O and early B stars found by Roman-Lopes+ (2018, J/ApJ/855/68). This way, we obtain a catalog of B-type sources with features in both the optical and NIR and a classification scheme refined down to one spectral subclass.</description><source format="bibcode">2020ApJ...894....5R</source><referenceURL>https://cdsarc.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/cat/J/ApJ/894/5</referenceURL><type>Catalog</type><contentLevel>Research</contentLevel><relationship><relationshipType>IsServedBy</relationshipType><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/TAP">TAP VizieR generic service</relatedResource></relationship><relationship><relationshipType>IsServedBy</relationshipType><relatedResource>Conesearch service</relatedResource></relationship><relationship><relationshipType>related-to</relationshipType><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/III/274">III/274 : Galactic O-Star Spectroscopic Survey (GOSSS) (Sota+, 2014)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/V/153">V/153 : LAMOST DR4 catalogs (Luo+, 2018)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/III/284">III/284 : APOGEE-2 data from DR16 (Johnsson+, 2020)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/ApJS/107/281">J/ApJS/107/281 : Atlas of hot, luminous stars at 2 microns (Hanson+ 1996)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/ApJS/161/154">J/ApJS/161/154 : Near-IR spectral atlas of OB stars (Hanson+, 2005)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/ApJ/661/1119">J/ApJ/661/1119 : Spectroscopy in the 25 Ori group (Briceno+, 2007)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/AN/331/349">J/AN/331/349 : O, B-type &amp; red supergiant masses &amp; lum.
