We have identified 118 molecular clouds with average values of 4.3 pc in radius and 2.2km/s in velocity dispersion, which comprise the molecular cloud complexes observed previously with ~100pc resolution. We derive for the first time in this galaxy the I(CO)-N(H_2_) conversion factor, X=4.1_-2.4_^+5.9^x10^20^cm^-2^(K.km/s)^-1^, based on the virial method. The line width and mass-to-size relations of the resolved molecular clouds present an offset on average toward higher line widths and masses with respect to quiescent regions in other nearby spiral galaxies and our Galaxy. The offset in the scaling relation reaches its maximum in regions close to the central starburst, where velocity dispersions are ~0.5dex higher and gas mass surface densities are as high as {Sigma}_H2_=10^3^M_{sun}/pc^2^. These central clouds are gravitationally bound despite the high internal pressure. A spatial comparison with star clusters found in the literature enables us to identify six clouds that are associated with young star clusters. Furthermore, the star formation efficiencies (SFEs) of some of these clouds exceed those found in star-cluster-forming clouds within our Galaxy. We conclude that once a super star cluster is formed, the parent molecular clouds are rapidly dispersed by the destructive stellar feedback, which results in such a high SFE in the central starburst of NGC 5253.</description><source format="bibcode">2018ApJ...864..120M</source><referenceURL>https://cdsarc.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/cat/J/ApJ/864/120</referenceURL><type>Catalog</type><contentLevel>Research</contentLevel><relationship><relationshipType>IsServedBy</relationshipType><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/TAP">TAP VizieR generic service</relatedResource></relationship><relationship><relationshipType>IsServedBy</relationshipType><relatedResource>Conesearch service</relatedResource></relationship><relationship><relationshipType>related-to</relationshipType><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/ApJ/551/852">J/ApJ/551/852 : FCRAO CO survey of the outer Galaxy (Heyer+, 2001)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/ApJ/603/503">J/ApJ/603/503 : HST photometry in NGC 5253 and NGC 3077 (Harris+, 2004)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/AJ/128/2170">J/AJ/128/2170 : H{alpha} imaging of irregular galaxies (Hunter+, 2004)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/ApJ/656/168">J/ApJ/656/168 : Spectrophotometry in NGC 5253 (Lopez-Sanchez+, 2007)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/ApJS/178/56">J/ApJS/178/56 : CO observations of LMC Giant Molecular clouds (Fukui+, 2008)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/ApJ/686/948">J/ApJ/686/948 : CO in extragalactic giant molecular clouds (Bolatto+, 2008)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/ApJ/699/1092">J/ApJ/699/1092 : Giant molecular clouds (SRBY) (Heyer+, 2009)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/ApJS/184/1">J/ApJS/184/1 : Molecular clouds in the LMC by NANTEN.
