The supernova (SN) was observed at high cadence for over 100 days, from pre-explosion, to early rise and peak times, through the secondary bump. The high cadence KELT data with high signal-to-noise ratio is completely unique for SN 2014J and for any other SNIa, with the exception of the (yet) unpublished Kepler data. Here, we report determinations of the SN explosion time and peak time. We also report measures of the "smoothness" of the light curve on timescales of minutes/hours never before probed, and we use this to place limits on energy produced from short-lived isotopes or inhomogeneities in the explosion or the circumstellar medium. From the non-observation of significant perturbations of the light curves, we derive a 3{sigma} upper limit corresponding to 8.7x10^36^erg/s for any such extra sources of luminosity at optical wavelengths.</description><source format="bibcode">2015ApJ...799..105S</source><referenceURL>https://cdsarc.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/cat/J/ApJ/799/105</referenceURL><type>Catalog</type><contentLevel>Research</contentLevel><relationship><relationshipType>IsServedBy</relationshipType><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/TAP">TAP VizieR generic service</relatedResource></relationship><relationship><relationshipType>related-to</relationshipType><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/B/sn">B/sn : Asiago Supernova Catalogue (Barbon et al., 1999-)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/B/vsx">B/vsx : AAVSO International Variable Star Index VSX (Watson+, 2006-2014)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/other/NewA/20.30">J/other/NewA/20.30 : BVRI light curves of 3 SN (Munari+, 2013)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/ApJ/761/123">J/ApJ/761/123 : KELT-1 photometry and spectroscopy follow-up (Siverd+, 2012)</relatedResource></relationship></content><rights>https://cds.unistra.fr/vizier-org/licences_vizier.html</rights><capability><interface xsi:type="vr:WebBrowser"><accessURL use="full">https://vizier.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/VizieR-2?-source=J/ApJ/799/105</accessURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at IUCAA: Pune, India">https://vizier.iucaa.in/viz-bin/VizieR-2?-source=J/ApJ/799/105</mirrorURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at SAAO: SAAO, South Africa">http://vizieridia.saao.ac.za/viz-bin/VizieR-2?-source=J/ApJ/799/105</mirrorURL></interface></capability><capability><interface xsi:type="vs:ParamHTTP"><accessURL use="base">https://vizier.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/votable?-source=J/ApJ/799/105</accessURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at IUCAA: Pune, India">https://vizier.iucaa.in/viz-bin/votable?-source=J/ApJ/799/105</mirrorURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at SAAO: SAAO, South Africa">http://vizieridia.saao.ac.za/viz-bin/votable?-source=J/ApJ/799/105</mirrorURL><queryType>GET</queryType><resultType>text/xml+votable</resultType></interface></capability><capability standardID="ivo://ivoa.net/std/TAP#aux"><interface xsi:type="vs:ParamHTTP" role="std"><accessURL use="base">https://tapvizier.cds.unistra.fr/TAPVizieR/tap</accessURL></interface></capability><coverage><footprint ivo-id="ivo://ivoa.net/std/moc"/><waveband>Optical</waveband><waveband>Infrared</waveband></coverage><tableset><schema><name>default</name><table><name>J/ApJ/799/105/table1</name><description>KELT_N light curve of SN 2014J in a wide R-band ({lambda}_eff_=591nm, width=318nm)</description><column><name>recno</name><description>Record number assigned by the VizieR team.
