All of these objects suggest a similar calibration, strongly supporting the view that the Rayleigh-Jeans tail of the dust emission can be used as an accurate and very fast probe of the interstellar medium (ISM) in galaxies. We present ALMA Cycle 0 observations of the Band 7 (350GHz) dust emission in 107 galaxies from z=0.2 to 2.5. Three samples of galaxies with a total of 101 galaxies were stellar-mass-selected from COSMOS to have M_*_=~10^11^M_{sun}_:37 at z~0.4, 33 at z~0.9, and 31 at z=2. A fourth sample with six infrared-luminous galaxies at z=2 was observed for comparison with the purely mass-selected samples. From the fluxes detected in the stacked images for each sample, we find that the ISM content has decreased by a factor ~6 from 1 to 2x10^10^M_{sun}_ at both z=2 and 0.9 down to ~2x10^9^M_{sun}_at z=0.4. The infrared-luminous sample at z=2 shows a further ~4 times increase in M_ISM_compared with the equivalent non-infrared-bright sample at the same redshift. The gas mass fractions are ~2%+/-0.5%, 12%+/-3%, 14%+/-2%, and 53%+/-3% for the four subsamples (z=0.4, 0.9, and 2 and infrared-bright galaxies).</description><source format="bibcode">2014ApJ...783...84S</source><referenceURL>https://cdsarc.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/cat/J/ApJ/783/84</referenceURL><type>Catalog</type><contentLevel>Research</contentLevel><relationship><relationshipType>IsServedBy</relationshipType><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/TAP">TAP VizieR generic service</relatedResource></relationship><relationship><relationshipType>IsServedBy</relationshipType><relatedResource>Conesearch service</relatedResource></relationship><relationship><relationshipType>related-to</relationshipType><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/II/284">II/284 : COSMOS Multi-Wavelength Photometry Catalog (Capak+, 2007)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/ApJ/827/142">J/ApJ/827/142 : ALMA observations of GKM stars in Upper Sco (Barenfeld+, 2016)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/ApJ/812/43">J/ApJ/812/43 : ALMA 870um obs. of HerMES galaxies (Bussmann+, 2015)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/A+A/556/A55">J/A+A/556/A55 : Photometry of star-forming galaxies (Ilbert+, 2013)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/ApJ/768/91">J/ApJ/768/91 : ALMA observations of LESS submm galaxies (Hodge+, 2013)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/ApJ/768/74">J/ApJ/768/74 : CO observations of star-forming galaxies (Tacconi+, 2013)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/A+A/544/A156">J/A+A/544/A156 : UltraVISTA Catalogue Release DR1 (McCracken+, 2012)</relatedResource></relationship></content><rights>https://cds.unistra.fr/vizier-org/licences_vizier.html</rights><capability><interface xsi:type="vr:WebBrowser"><accessURL use="full">https://vizier.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/VizieR-2?-source=J/ApJ/783/84</accessURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at IUCAA: Pune, India">https://vizier.iucaa.in/viz-bin/VizieR-2?-source=J/ApJ/783/84</mirrorURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at SAAO: SAAO, South Africa">http://vizieridia.saao.ac.za/viz-bin/VizieR-2?-source=J/ApJ/783/84</mirrorURL></interface></capability><capability><interface xsi:type="vs:ParamHTTP"><accessURL use="base">https://vizier.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/votable?-source=J/ApJ/783/84</accessURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at IUCAA: Pune, India">https://vizier.iucaa.in/viz-bin/votable?-source=J/ApJ/783/84</mirrorURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at SAAO: SAAO, South Africa">http://vizieridia.saao.ac.za/viz-bin/votable?-source=J/ApJ/783/84</mirrorURL><queryType>GET</queryType><resultType>text/xml+votable</resultType></interface></capability><capability standardID="ivo://ivoa.net/std/TAP#aux"><interface xsi:type="vs:ParamHTTP" role="std"><accessURL use="base">https://tapvizier.cds.unistra.fr/TAPVizieR/tap</accessURL></interface></capability><capability xsi:type="cs:ConeSearch" standardID="ivo://ivoa.net/std/ConeSearch"><description>Cone search capability for table J/ApJ/783/84/galaxies (Galaxy sample in band 7 (350GHz): low-z (table5), mid-z (table6), and high-z (table7))</description><interface xsi:type="vs:ParamHTTP" role="std"><accessURL use="base">https://vizier.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/conesearch/J/ApJ/783/84/galaxies?</accessURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at IUCAA: Pune, India">https://vizier.iucaa.in/viz-bin/conesearch/J/ApJ/783/84/galaxies?</mirrorURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at SAAO: SAAO, South Africa">http://vizieridia.saao.ac.za/viz-bin/conesearch/J/ApJ/783/84/galaxies?</mirrorURL><queryType>GET</queryType><resultType>text/xml+votable</resultType></interface><maxSR>180.0</maxSR><maxRecords>50000</maxRecords><verbosity>true</verbosity><testQuery><ra>150.2142</ra><dec>1.7578</dec><sr>0.005555555555555556</sr></testQuery></capability><coverage><spatial>5/6814 6/27245 27247 27344</spatial><spectral>2.3390025583187276e-22 2.3390025583187276e-22</spectral><footprint ivo-id="ivo://ivoa.net/std/moc">https://cdsarc.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/moc/J/ApJ/783/84?format=ascii</footprint><waveband>Optical</waveband><waveband>Radio</waveband></coverage><tableset><schema><name>default</name><table><name>J/ApJ/783/84/galaxies</name><description>Galaxy sample in band 7 (350GHz): low-z (table5), mid-z (table6), and high-z (table7)</description><column><name>SimbadName</name><description>Simbad column added by the CDS</description><ucd>meta.id</ucd><dataType xsi:type="vs:VOTableType" arraysize="29*">char</dataType></column><column><name>recno</name><description>Record number assigned by the VizieR team.
