This high-quality data set allows us to extract accurate ionic column densities and determine an electron number density of n_e_=10^3.3+/-0.2^cm^-3^ for the main outflow absorption component. The heavily reddened spectrum of SDSS J0318-0600 requires purely silicate dust with a reddening curve characteristic of predominately large grains, from which we estimate the bolometric luminosity. We carry out photoionization modeling to determine the total column density, ionization parameter, and distance of the gas and find that the photoionization models suggest abundances greater than solar. Due to the uncertainty in the location of the dust extinction, we arrive at two viable distances for the main ouflow component from the central source, 6 and 17kpc, where we consider the 6kpc location as somewhat more physically plausible. Assuming the canonical global covering of 20% for the outflow and a distance of 6kpc, our analysis yields a mass flux of 120M_{sun}_/yr and a kinetic luminosity that is ~0.1% of the bolometric luminosity of the object. Should the dust be part of the outflow, then these values are ~4x larger. The large mass flux and kinetic luminosity make this outflow a significant contributor to active galactic nucleus feedback processes.</description><source format="bibcode">2010ApJ...709..611D</source><referenceURL>https://cdsarc.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/cat/J/ApJ/709/611</referenceURL><type>Catalog</type><contentLevel>Research</contentLevel><relationship><relationshipType>IsServedBy</relationshipType><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/TAP">TAP VizieR generic service</relatedResource></relationship><relationship><relationshipType>related-to</relationshipType><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/VII/260">VII/260 : The SDSS-DR7 quasar catalog (Schneider+, 2010)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/MNRAS/410/860">J/MNRAS/410/860 : Redshift dependence of BAL QSOs (Allen+, 2011)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/MNRAS/405/2302">J/MNRAS/405/2302 : Improved redshifts for SDSS quasar spectra (Hewett+, 2010)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/A+A/508/1527">J/A+A/508/1527 : SiII Radiative transition rates (Bautista+, 2009)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/MNRAS/382/412">J/MNRAS/382/412 : Catalog of SDSS-DR5/2MASS spectroscopic quasars (Ofek, 2007)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/PASP/118/1077">J/PASP/118/1077 : Metal-strong damped Ly{alpha} systems (Herbert-Fort+, 2006)</relatedResource><relatedResource>http://www.nist.gov/pml/data/asd.cfm : NIST Atomic Spectra Database</relatedResource></relationship></content><rights>https://cds.unistra.fr/vizier-org/licences_vizier.html</rights><capability><interface xsi:type="vr:WebBrowser"><accessURL use="full">https://vizier.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/VizieR-2?-source=J/ApJ/709/611</accessURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at IUCAA: Pune, India">https://vizier.iucaa.in/viz-bin/VizieR-2?-source=J/ApJ/709/611</mirrorURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at SAAO: SAAO, South Africa">http://vizieridia.saao.ac.za/viz-bin/VizieR-2?-source=J/ApJ/709/611</mirrorURL></interface></capability><capability><interface xsi:type="vs:ParamHTTP"><accessURL use="base">https://vizier.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/votable?-source=J/ApJ/709/611</accessURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at IUCAA: Pune, India">https://vizier.iucaa.in/viz-bin/votable?-source=J/ApJ/709/611</mirrorURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at SAAO: SAAO, South Africa">http://vizieridia.saao.ac.za/viz-bin/votable?-source=J/ApJ/709/611</mirrorURL><queryType>GET</queryType><resultType>text/xml+votable</resultType></interface></capability><capability standardID="ivo://ivoa.net/std/TAP#aux"><interface xsi:type="vs:ParamHTTP" role="std"><accessURL use="base">https://tapvizier.cds.unistra.fr/TAPVizieR/tap</accessURL></interface></capability><coverage><footprint ivo-id="ivo://ivoa.net/std/moc"/><waveband>Optical</waveband></coverage><tableset><schema><name>default</name><table><name>J/ApJ/709/611/table2</name><description>Detected absorption lines in QSO 0318-0600</description><column><name>recno</name><description>Record number assigned by the VizieR team.
