I have searched for common proper motion companions to 173 field very low mass stars and brown dwarfs with spectral types &gt;M5.0 V and magnitudes J&lt;~14.5mag. I have measured for the first time the common proper motion of two new wide systems containing very low mass components, Koenigstuhl 2 AB and 3 A-BC. Together with Koenigstuhl 1 AB and 2M 0126-50 AB, they are among the widest systems in their respective classes (r=450-11900AU). I have determined the minimum frequency of field wide multiples (r&gt;100AU) with late-type components at 5.0%+/-1.8% and the frequency of field wide late-type binaries with mass ratios q&gt;0.5 at 1.2%+/-0.9%. These values represent a key diagnostic of evolution history and low-mass star and brown dwarf formation scenarios. In addition, the proper motions of 62 field very low mass dwarfs are measured here for the first time.</description><source format="bibcode">2007ApJ...667..520C</source><referenceURL>https://cdsarc.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/cat/J/ApJ/667/520</referenceURL><type>Catalog</type><contentLevel>Research</contentLevel><relationship><relationshipType>IsServedBy</relationshipType><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/TAP">TAP VizieR generic service</relatedResource></relationship><relationship><relationshipType>IsServedBy</relationshipType><relatedResource>Conesearch service</relatedResource></relationship><relationship><relationshipType>related-to</relationshipType><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/A+A/450/681">J/A+A/450/681 : Companions to close spectroscopic binaries (Tokovinin+, 2006)</relatedResource></relationship></content><rights>https://cds.unistra.fr/vizier-org/licences_vizier.html</rights><capability><interface xsi:type="vr:WebBrowser"><accessURL use="full">https://vizier.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/VizieR-2?-source=J/ApJ/667/520</accessURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at IUCAA: Pune, India">https://vizier.iucaa.in/viz-bin/VizieR-2?-source=J/ApJ/667/520</mirrorURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at SAAO: SAAO, South Africa">http://vizieridia.saao.ac.za/viz-bin/VizieR-2?-source=J/ApJ/667/520</mirrorURL></interface></capability><capability><interface xsi:type="vs:ParamHTTP"><accessURL use="base">https://vizier.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/votable?-source=J/ApJ/667/520</accessURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at IUCAA: Pune, India">https://vizier.iucaa.in/viz-bin/votable?-source=J/ApJ/667/520</mirrorURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at SAAO: SAAO, South Africa">http://vizieridia.saao.ac.za/viz-bin/votable?-source=J/ApJ/667/520</mirrorURL><queryType>GET</queryType><resultType>text/xml+votable</resultType></interface></capability><capability standardID="ivo://ivoa.net/std/TAP#aux"><interface xsi:type="vs:ParamHTTP" role="std"><accessURL use="base">https://tapvizier.cds.unistra.fr/TAPVizieR/tap</accessURL></interface></capability><capability xsi:type="cs:ConeSearch" standardID="ivo://ivoa.net/std/ConeSearch"><description>Cone search capability for table J/ApJ/667/520/table3 (Investigated very low-mass dwarfs and proper-motion companions)</description><interface xsi:type="vs:ParamHTTP" role="std"><accessURL use="base">https://vizier.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/conesearch/J/ApJ/667/520/table3?</accessURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at IUCAA: Pune, India">https://vizier.iucaa.in/viz-bin/conesearch/J/ApJ/667/520/table3?</mirrorURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at SAAO: SAAO, South Africa">http://vizieridia.saao.ac.za/viz-bin/conesearch/J/ApJ/667/520/table3?</mirrorURL><queryType>GET</queryType><resultType>text/xml+votable</resultType></interface><maxSR>180.0</maxSR><maxRecords>50000</maxRecords><verbosity>true</verbosity><testQuery><ra>0.525833</ra><dec>1.26</dec><sr>0.005555555555555556</sr></testQuery></capability><coverage><spatial>6/16434 16502 16609 16645 16770 17074 17283 17303 17328 17348 17567 17677 17712 17927 17985 18060 18450 18478 18571 18574 18655 18681 18711 18726 18742 18979 19098 19457 20531 20585 20591 20618 20738 21195 21209 21834 22535 22555 22657 22687 22691 22720 22737 22739 23124 23144 23212 23237 24590 24657 24691 24774 24782 24891 24897 25078 25156 25162 25304 25314 25325 25411 25419 25470 25523 25549 25619 25807 25818 25893 26656 26699 26861 26915 27019 27022 27214 27271 29973 30017 30749 30833 30883 31137 31300 31309 32830 32875 33636 33767 34219 34289 34448 34535 34580 34598 34613 34622 34626 34640 34660 34743 34803 34961 35008 35020 35024 35203 35259 35412 35451 35471 35499 35685 35804 35864 35923 36240 36313 36458 36526 36640 36765 36821 36822 36845 38322 39109 39533 40273 40297 40313 40332 40428 40534 40669 40738 40826 40882 40901 40902 40903 40941 41597 43481 43851 43966 44226 44232 44456 44603 44718 44743 44778 44897 44954 45055 45752 45994 46961 48462 48664 48703 48723 48844 48870 48957 48995 49036 49054 49139</spatial><footprint ivo-id="ivo://ivoa.net/std/moc">https://cdsarc.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/moc/J/ApJ/667/520?format=ascii</footprint><waveband>Optical</waveband></coverage><tableset><schema><name>default</name><table><name>J/ApJ/667/520/table3</name><description>Investigated very low-mass dwarfs and proper-motion companions</description><column><name>u_pmDE</name><description>Uncertainty flag on pmDE</description><ucd>meta.code.error;pos.pm;pos.eq.dec</ucd><dataType xsi:type="vs:VOTableType" arraysize="1*">char</dataType></column><column><name>recno</name><description>Record number assigned by the VizieR team.
