The survey's approach, which uses X-ray emission to locate cluster candidates, minimizes the problems faced by optically selected cluster surveys, which have traditionally avoided this region of the sky due to the severe extinction present along the Galactic plane. We here present the second flux-limited CIZA cluster catalog, containing 57 X-ray-selected galaxy clusters, of which 88% are new discoveries. We use this sample to examine the degree to which known large-scale structures extend into the zone of avoidance and highlight newly discovered structures that have previously gone unnoticed.</description><source format="bibcode">2007ApJ...662..224K</source><referenceURL>https://cdsarc.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/cat/J/ApJ/662/224</referenceURL><type>Catalog</type><contentLevel>Research</contentLevel><relationship><relationshipType>IsServedBy</relationshipType><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/TAP">TAP VizieR generic service</relatedResource></relationship><relationship><relationshipType>IsServedBy</relationshipType><relatedResource>Conesearch service</relatedResource></relationship><relationship><relationshipType>related-to</relationshipType><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/IX/10">IX/10 : ROSAT All-Sky Bright Source Catalogue (1RXS) (Voges+ 1999)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/IX/29">IX/29 : ROSAT All-Sky Survey Faint Source Catalog (Voges+ 2000)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/VII/209">VII/209 : Galaxies Behind the Milky Way (Saito+ 1990-91; Roman+ 1996-98)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/ApJS/89/57">J/ApJS/89/57 : IRAS galaxies behind southern Milky Way (Yamada+, 1993)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/A+AS/104/529">J/A+AS/104/529 : IRAS galaxies behind the Milky Way (Takata+ 1994)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/ApJS/112/245">J/ApJS/112/245 : Redshift survey for IRAS galaxies (Nakanishi+ 1997)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/A+AS/141/123">J/A+AS/141/123 : Galaxies behind Southern Milky Way (Kraan-Korteweg 2000)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/A+A/387/1">J/A+A/387/1 : DENIS galaxies behind the Milky Way (Vauglin+, 2002)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/ApJ/580/774">J/ApJ/580/774 : X-ray cluster of gal. behind the Milky way.
