It is found that the most luminous clusters rarely have collapsed cores. The reason for this might be that the core collapse timescales for such populous clusters are greater than the age of the Galaxy. Among those clusters for which the structure has not been modified by core collapse, there is a correlation between central concentration and integrated luminosity, in the sense that the most luminous clusters have the strongest central concentration. The outermost region of the Galaxy with R&gt;10kpc was apparently not able to form metal-rich ([Fe/H]&gt;-1.0) globular clusters, whereas such clusters (of which Ter 7 is the prototype) were able to form in some nearby dwarf spheroidal galaxies. It is not yet clear how the popular hypothesis that globular clusters were initially formed with a single power-law mass spectrum can be reconciled with the observation that both (1) Galactic globular clusters with R&gt;80kpc and (2) the globulars associated with the Sagittarius dwarf appear to have bimodal luminosity functions. Presently available data hint at, but are not yet able to establish, the existence of a radial metallicity gradient for metal-poor globular clusters with [Fe/H]&lt;-1.0.</description><source format="bibcode">2003ApJ...590..797V</source><referenceURL>https://cdsarc.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/cat/J/ApJ/590/797</referenceURL><type>Catalog</type><contentLevel>Research</contentLevel><relationship><relationshipType>IsServedBy</relationshipType><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/TAP">TAP VizieR generic service</relatedResource></relationship><relationship><relationshipType>IsServedBy</relationshipType><relatedResource>Conesearch service</relatedResource></relationship><relationship><relationshipType>related-to</relationshipType><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/VII/103">VII/103 : Galactic Globular Clusters (Monella 1985)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/VII/151">VII/151 : Structure Parameters of Galactic Globular Clusters (Webbink 1985)</relatedResource></relationship></content><rights>https://cds.unistra.fr/vizier-org/licences_vizier.html</rights><capability><interface xsi:type="vr:WebBrowser"><accessURL use="full">https://vizier.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/VizieR-2?-source=J/ApJ/590/797</accessURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at IUCAA: Pune, India">https://vizier.iucaa.in/viz-bin/VizieR-2?-source=J/ApJ/590/797</mirrorURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at SAAO: SAAO, South Africa">http://vizieridia.saao.ac.za/viz-bin/VizieR-2?-source=J/ApJ/590/797</mirrorURL></interface></capability><capability><interface xsi:type="vs:ParamHTTP"><accessURL use="base">https://vizier.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/votable?-source=J/ApJ/590/797</accessURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at IUCAA: Pune, India">https://vizier.iucaa.in/viz-bin/votable?-source=J/ApJ/590/797</mirrorURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at SAAO: SAAO, South Africa">http://vizieridia.saao.ac.za/viz-bin/votable?-source=J/ApJ/590/797</mirrorURL><queryType>GET</queryType><resultType>text/xml+votable</resultType></interface></capability><capability standardID="ivo://ivoa.net/std/TAP#aux"><interface xsi:type="vs:ParamHTTP" role="std"><accessURL use="base">https://tapvizier.cds.unistra.fr/TAPVizieR/tap</accessURL></interface></capability><capability xsi:type="cs:ConeSearch" standardID="ivo://ivoa.net/std/ConeSearch"><description>Cone search capability for table J/ApJ/590/797/table1 (Galactic globular cluster parameters)</description><interface xsi:type="vs:ParamHTTP" role="std"><accessURL use="base">https://vizier.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/conesearch/J/ApJ/590/797/table1?</accessURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at IUCAA: Pune, India">https://vizier.iucaa.in/viz-bin/conesearch/J/ApJ/590/797/table1?</mirrorURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at SAAO: SAAO, South Africa">http://vizieridia.saao.ac.za/viz-bin/conesearch/J/ApJ/590/797/table1?</mirrorURL><queryType>GET</queryType><resultType>text/xml+votable</resultType></interface><maxSR>180.0</maxSR><maxRecords>50000</maxRecords><verbosity>true</verbosity><testQuery><ra>6.023625</ra><dec>-72.0812778</dec><sr>0.005555555555555556</sr></testQuery></capability><coverage><spatial>6/1133 3950 6389 9436 9666 9855 10008 10321 10336 12405 12425 12531 12943 14489 16647 17121 19091 20001 21017 24843 25873 27237 27981 27986 28067 28577 28705 28717 28741 28751 28768 28769 28778 28805 28808 28815 28817 28833 28835 28838 28855 28867 28868 28876 28877 28882 28889 28895 28903 28905 28959 28962 28970 28973 28974 29077 29184 29187 29195 29202 29216 29222 29231 29233 29248 29267 29289 29294 29318 29377 29626 29632 29636 29637 29816 29870 30321 30329 30378 30769 30998 31019 31043 31115 31128 31398 31417 31723 32083 33321 33330 33635 34242 34317 34811 36971 37294 38465 39642 39954 41011 41257 41304 41507 41522 41847 41852 42076 42152 42278 42314 42320 42361 42466 42528 42700 42761 42789 42841 42862 42955 42958 42990 43125 43193 43227 43894 44086 44220 44427 47125 47620 47777 47825 47866 47868 47903 47916 47971 48035 48310 48434 48444 48698 48952</spatial><footprint ivo-id="ivo://ivoa.net/std/moc">https://cdsarc.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/moc/J/ApJ/590/797?format=ascii</footprint><waveband>Optical</waveband></coverage><tableset><schema><name>default</name><table><name>J/ApJ/590/797/table1</name><description>Galactic globular cluster parameters</description><column><name>recno</name><description>Record number assigned by the VizieR team.
