In this paper we examine the utility of combining asteroid observational records from the Zwicky Transient Facility and the Transiting Exoplanet Survey Satellite, which are the ground- and space-based facilities, respectively, to determine to what degree the data from the space-based facility can suppress diurnal aliases. Furthermore, we examine several optimizations that are used to derive the rotation periods of asteroids, which we then compare to the reported rotation periods in the literature. Through this analysis we find that we can reliably derive the rotation periods for ~85% of our sample of 222 objects that are also reported in the literature and that the remaining ~15% are difficult to reliably derive, as many are asteroids that are insufficiently elongated, which produces a light curve with an insufficient amplitude and, consequently, an incorrect rotation period. We also investigate a binary classification method that biases against reporting incorrect rotation periods. We conclude the paper by assessing the utility of using other ground- or space-based facilities as companion telescopes to the forthcoming Rubin Observatory.</description><source format="bibcode">2024AJ....168..181G</source><referenceURL>https://cdsarc.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/cat/J/AJ/168/181</referenceURL><type>Catalog</type><contentLevel>Research</contentLevel><relationship><relationshipType>IsServedBy</relationshipType><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/TAP">TAP VizieR generic service</relatedResource></relationship><relationship><relationshipType>related-to</relationshipType><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/B/astorb">B/astorb : Orbits of Minor Planets (Bowell+, 2014-)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/ApJ/763/32">J/ApJ/763/32 : Galactic halo RRab stars from CSS (Drake+, 2013)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/AJ/155/39">J/AJ/155/39 : Variability of TIC sources with KELT (Oelkers+, 2018)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/AJ/166/152">J/AJ/166/152 : Main Belt Asteroid Rotation from TESS (McNeill+, 2023)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/A+A/693/A66">J/A+A/693/A66 : Asteroid rotation periods from TESS (Vavilov+, 2025)</relatedResource><relatedResource>http://www.minorplanet.info/ : MinorPlanet.info home page (which gives access</relatedResource></relationship></content><rights>https://cds.unistra.fr/vizier-org/licences_vizier.html</rights><capability><interface xsi:type="vr:WebBrowser"><accessURL use="full">https://vizier.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/VizieR-2?-source=J/AJ/168/181</accessURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at IUCAA: Pune, India">https://vizier.iucaa.in/viz-bin/VizieR-2?-source=J/AJ/168/181</mirrorURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at SAAO: SAAO, South Africa">http://vizieridia.saao.ac.za/viz-bin/VizieR-2?-source=J/AJ/168/181</mirrorURL></interface></capability><capability><interface xsi:type="vs:ParamHTTP"><accessURL use="base">https://vizier.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/votable?-source=J/AJ/168/181</accessURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at IUCAA: Pune, India">https://vizier.iucaa.in/viz-bin/votable?-source=J/AJ/168/181</mirrorURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at SAAO: SAAO, South Africa">http://vizieridia.saao.ac.za/viz-bin/votable?-source=J/AJ/168/181</mirrorURL><queryType>GET</queryType><resultType>text/xml+votable</resultType></interface></capability><capability standardID="ivo://ivoa.net/std/TAP#aux"><interface xsi:type="vs:ParamHTTP" role="std"><accessURL use="base">https://tapvizier.cds.unistra.fr/TAPVizieR/tap</accessURL></interface></capability><coverage><footprint ivo-id="ivo://ivoa.net/std/moc"/><waveband>Optical</waveband></coverage><tableset><schema><name>default</name><table><name>J/AJ/168/181/table5</name><description>*SS1+TESSC1 rotation periods and amplitudes for the 1623 objects with high confidence (~85%)</description><column><name>recno</name><description>Record number assigned by the VizieR team.
