Together with Gaia G-band light curves, we determined photometric metallicities using empirical relations involving pulsation period and Fourier parameter as dependent parameters. We demonstrated that the RR-Lyrae photometric metallicity can be determined accurately when these empirical relations were employed at multiple wavelengths, which can potentially improve the distance determination based on RR-Lyrae stars. The photometric metallicities based on our approach were found to be -2.27{+/-}0.13dex and -1.87{+/-}0.16dex for the RR-Lyrae in SegueII and Ursa-MajorII UFD, respectively, with corresponding distance moduli of 17.69{+/-}0.15 mag and 17.58{+/-}0.15 mag, in agreement with previous literature determinations. This approach of photometric metallicity of RR Lyrae based on multiband optical light curves will be particularly relevant for distance measurements in the era of the Vera C Rubin's Legacy Survey of Space and Time.</description><source format="bibcode">2024AJ....167...42N</source><referenceURL>https://cdsarc.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/cat/J/AJ/167/42</referenceURL><type>Catalog</type><contentLevel>Research</contentLevel><relationship><relationshipType>IsServedBy</relationshipType><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/TAP">TAP VizieR generic service</relatedResource></relationship><relationship><relationshipType>related-to</relationshipType><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/I/337">I/337 : Gaia DR1 (Gaia Collaboration, 2016)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/A+A/312/111">J/A+A/312/111 : [Fe/H] from RR Lyrae light curves (Jurcsik+, 1996)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/MNRAS/397/1748">J/MNRAS/397/1748 : Spectroscopic study of Segue 2 (Belokurov+, 2009)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/MNRAS/415/1366">J/MNRAS/415/1366 : OGLE RR Lyrae in SMC (Kapakos+, 2011)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/ApJ/752/42">J/ApJ/752/42 : BV time series in Ursa Major II (Dall'Ora+, 2012)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/ApJ/750/99">J/ApJ/750/99 : The Pan-STARRS1 photometric system (Tonry+, 2012)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/ApJ/779/102">J/ApJ/779/102 : Metallicities of RGB stars in dwarf galaxies (Kirby+, 2013)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/A+A/590/A9">J/A+A/590/A9 : RGB stars in Galactic GC stellar parameters (Dias+, 2016)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/ApJ/908/20">J/ApJ/908/20 : On use of RR Lyrae as galactic probes.
