We tested this by using a set of homogeneous samples of fundamental mode RR-Lyrae located in the Kepler field. It was found that the color term is necessary in such photometric transformation. We demonstrated that when including the color term the determined photometric [Fe/H] are in good agreement with the spectroscopic [Fe/H], either based on the calibrated or the transformed V-band light curves. We also tested the impact of Blazhko RR-Lyrae in determining the photometric [Fe/H], and found that Blazhko RR-Lyrae can give consistent photometric [Fe/H]. Finally, we derived independent gVr-band [Fe/H]-ph31-P relations (where ph31 and P are the Fourier parameter and pulsation period, respectively) using our light curves. The V-band relation is in good agreement with the most recent determination given in the literature.</description><source format="bibcode">2022AJ....164...45N</source><referenceURL>https://cdsarc.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/cat/J/AJ/164/45</referenceURL><type>Catalog</type><contentLevel>Research</contentLevel><relationship><relationshipType>IsServedBy</relationshipType><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/TAP">TAP VizieR generic service</relatedResource></relationship><relationship><relationshipType>IsServedBy</relationshipType><relatedResource>Conesearch service</relatedResource></relationship><relationship><relationshipType>related-to</relationshipType><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/V/133">V/133 : Kepler Input Catalog (Kepler Mission Team, 2009)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/A+AS/105/145">J/A+AS/105/145 : RR Lyr stars of ome Cen (Petersen 1994)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/A+A/312/111">J/A+A/312/111 : [Fe/H] from RR Lyrae light curves (Jurcsik+, 1996)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/MNRAS/398/1757">J/MNRAS/398/1757 : RR Lyraes in SDSS stripe 82 (Watkins+, 2009)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/ApJ/708/717">J/ApJ/708/717 : Light curve templates of RR Lyrae stars (Sesar+, 2010)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/ApJ/750/99">J/ApJ/750/99 : The Pan-STARRS1 photometric system (Tonry+, 2012)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/ApJ/908/20">J/ApJ/908/20 : Use of field RRLyrae as galactic probes.
