Far-infrared imaging of the Magellanic Clouds has identified one potential embedded SSC, HSO-BMHERICC-J72.971176-69.391112 (H72.97-69.39 in short), in the southwest outskirts of the Large Magellanic Cloud. We present Gemini Flamingos 2 and GSAOI near-infrared imaging of a 3'x3' region around H72.97-69.39 in order to characterize the stellar content of the cluster. The stellar content is probed down to 1.5M{sun}. We find substantial dust extinction across the cluster region, extending up to A_K_ of 3. Deeply embedded stars are associated with ALMA-detected molecular gas suggesting that star formation is ongoing. The high spatial resolution of the GSAOI data allows identification of the central massive object associated with the ^13^CO ALMA observations and detection of fainter low-mass stars around the H30{alpha} ALMA source. The morphology of the molecular gas and the nebulosity from adjacent star formation suggest they have interacted covering a region of several parsecs. The total stellar content in the cluster is estimated from the intermediate and high-mass stellar content to be at least 10000M{sun}, less than R136 with up to 100000M{sun} within 4.7pc radius, but places it in the regime of an SSC. Based on the extinction determination of individual stars we estimate a molecular gas mass in the vicinity of H72.97-69.39 of 6600M{sun}, suggesting more star formation can be expected.</description><source format="bibcode">2021AJ....161..206A</source><referenceURL>https://cdsarc.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/cat/J/AJ/161/206</referenceURL><type>Catalog</type><contentLevel>Research</contentLevel><relationship><relationshipType>IsServedBy</relationshipType><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/TAP">TAP VizieR generic service</relatedResource></relationship><relationship><relationshipType>IsServedBy</relationshipType><relatedResource>Conesearch service</relatedResource></relationship><relationship><relationshipType>related-to</relationshipType><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/ApJ/707/1347">J/ApJ/707/1347 : HST F160W photometry in RMC 136 (Andersen+, 2009)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/ApJS/184/172">J/ApJS/184/172 : High and intermediate-mass YSOs in the LMC (Gruendl+, 2009)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/AJ/146/62">J/AJ/146/62 : HERschel HERITAGE in Magellanic Clouds (Meixner+, 2013)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/AJ/148/124">J/AJ/148/124 : Herschel key program Heritage (Seale+, 2014)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/A+A/578/A4">J/A+A/578/A4 : Photometry and motions in Arches &amp; Quintuplet (Stolte+, 2015)</relatedResource></relationship></content><rights>https://cds.unistra.fr/vizier-org/licences_vizier.html</rights><capability><interface xsi:type="vr:WebBrowser"><accessURL use="full">https://vizier.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/VizieR-2?-source=J/AJ/161/206</accessURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at IUCAA: Pune, India">https://vizier.iucaa.in/viz-bin/VizieR-2?-source=J/AJ/161/206</mirrorURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at SAAO: SAAO, South Africa">http://vizieridia.saao.ac.za/viz-bin/VizieR-2?-source=J/AJ/161/206</mirrorURL></interface></capability><capability><interface xsi:type="vs:ParamHTTP"><accessURL use="base">https://vizier.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/votable?-source=J/AJ/161/206</accessURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at IUCAA: Pune, India">https://vizier.iucaa.in/viz-bin/votable?-source=J/AJ/161/206</mirrorURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at SAAO: SAAO, South Africa">http://vizieridia.saao.ac.za/viz-bin/votable?-source=J/AJ/161/206</mirrorURL><queryType>GET</queryType><resultType>text/xml+votable</resultType></interface></capability><capability standardID="ivo://ivoa.net/std/TAP#aux"><interface xsi:type="vs:ParamHTTP" role="std"><accessURL use="base">https://tapvizier.cds.unistra.fr/TAPVizieR/tap</accessURL></interface></capability><capability xsi:type="cs:ConeSearch" standardID="ivo://ivoa.net/std/ConeSearch"><description>Cone search capability for table J/AJ/161/206/table1 (Sources identified within the GSAOI field with photometric errors below 0.1mag)</description><interface xsi:type="vs:ParamHTTP" role="std"><accessURL use="base">https://vizier.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/conesearch/J/AJ/161/206/table1?</accessURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at IUCAA: Pune, India">https://vizier.iucaa.in/viz-bin/conesearch/J/AJ/161/206/table1?</mirrorURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at SAAO: SAAO, South Africa">http://vizieridia.saao.ac.za/viz-bin/conesearch/J/AJ/161/206/table1?</mirrorURL><queryType>GET</queryType><resultType>text/xml+votable</resultType></interface><maxSR>180.0</maxSR><maxRecords>50000</maxRecords><verbosity>true</verbosity><testQuery><ra>72.98383611</ra><dec>-69.38946694</dec><sr>0.005555555555555556</sr></testQuery></capability><coverage><spatial>6/33078</spatial><spectral>7.952274030004205e-20 1.0188844282367877e-19</spectral><footprint ivo-id="ivo://ivoa.net/std/moc">https://cdsarc.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/moc/J/AJ/161/206?format=ascii</footprint><waveband>Infrared</waveband></coverage><tableset><schema><name>default</name><table><name>J/AJ/161/206/table1</name><description>Sources identified within the GSAOI field with photometric errors below 0.1mag</description><column><name>recno</name><description>Record number assigned by the VizieR team.
