We characterize the system using data from the NASA Transiting Exoplanet Survey Satellite mission, the ESA Gaia mission, ground-based photometry from El Sauce and ASTEP400, and spectroscopy from CHIRON, FEROS, and Veloce. We find that TOI837 is a T=9.9mag G0/F9 dwarf in the southern open cluster IC2602. The star and planet are therefore 35_-5_^+11^ million years old. Combining the transit photometry with a prior on the stellar parameters derived from the cluster color-magnitude diagram, we find that the planet has an orbital period of 8.3days and is slightly smaller than Jupiter (R_p_=0.77_-0.07_^+0.09^R_Jup_). From radial velocity monitoring, we limit M_p_sin(i) to less than 1.20M_Jup_(3{sigma}). The transits either graze or nearly graze the stellar limb. Grazing transits are a cause for concern, as they are often indicative of astrophysical false-positive scenarios. Our follow-up data show that such scenarios are unlikely. Our combined multicolor photometry, high-resolution imaging, and radial velocities rule out hierarchical eclipsing binary scenarios. Background eclipsing binary scenarios, though limited by speckle imaging, remain a 0.2% possibility. TOI837b is therefore a validated adolescent exoplanet. The planetary nature of the system can be confirmed or refuted through observations of the stellar obliquity and the planetary mass. Such observations may also improve our understanding of how the physical and orbital properties of exoplanets change in time.</description><source format="bibcode">2020AJ....160..239B</source><referenceURL>https://cdsarc.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/cat/J/AJ/160/239</referenceURL><type>Catalog</type><contentLevel>Research</contentLevel><relationship><relationshipType>IsServedBy</relationshipType><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/TAP">TAP VizieR generic service</relatedResource></relationship><relationship><relationshipType>related-to</relationshipType><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/I/337">I/337 : Gaia DR1 (Gaia Collaboration, 2016)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/I/345">I/345 : Gaia DR2 (Gaia Collaboration, 2018)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/IV/38">IV/38 : TESS Input Catalog - v8.0 (TIC-8) (Stassun+, 2019)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/VII/233">VII/233 : The 2MASS Extended sources (IPAC/UMass, 2003-2006)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/AJ/117/354">J/AJ/117/354 : OB associations from Hipparcos (de Zeeuw+, 1999)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/other/ARA+A/42.685">J/other/ARA+A/42.685 : Young stars near the Sun (Zuckerman+, 2004)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/A+A/438/1163">J/A+A/438/1163 : Catalogue of Open Cluster Data (COCD) (Kharchenko+,2005)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/AJ/129/2856">J/AJ/129/2856 : Variable stars in NGC 6791 (Mochejska+, 2005)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/ApJ/687/1264">J/ApJ/687/1264 : Age estimation for solar-type dwarfs (Mamajek+, 2008)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/AJ/135/907">J/AJ/135/907 : Variables Praesepe identified with KELT (Pepper+, 2008)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/ApJ/720/1118">J/ApJ/720/1118 : i-band photometry of HAT-P-16 (Buchhave+, 2010)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/ApJS/190/1">J/ApJS/190/1 : A survey of stellar families (Raghavan+, 2010)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/A+A/537/A146">J/A+A/537/A146 : Stellar models rot. 0.8&lt;M&lt;120, Z=0.014 (Ekstrom+, 2012)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/ApJ/756/L33">J/ApJ/756/L33 : RVs of 2 hot Jupiters in Praesepe (Quinn+, 2012)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/A+A/553/A49">J/A+A/553/A49 : WASP-19b secondary eclipses (Abe+, 2013)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/A+A/558/A53">J/A+A/558/A53 : Milky Way survey star clusters.
