This would indicate that a few per cent of the Galactic bulge was built up from destruction and/or evaporation of GCs. Here, an attempt is made to identify such presumptive stripped stars originating from the massive, inner Galaxy GC NGC 6441 using its rich RR Lyrae variable star (RRL) population. We present radial velocities of 40 RRLs centered on the GC NGC 6441. All 13 of the RRLs observed within the cluster tidal radius have velocities consistent with cluster membership, with an average radial velocity of 24+/-5 km/s and a star-to-star scatter of 11 km/s. This includes two new RRLs that were previously not associated with the cluster. Eight RRLs with radial velocities consistent with cluster membership but up to three time the distance from the tidal radius are also reported. These potential extra-tidal RRLs also have exceptionally long periods, which is a curious characteristic of the NGC 6441 RRL population that hosts RRLs with periods longer than seen anywhere else in the Milky Way. As expected of stripped cluster stars, most are inline with the cluster's orbit. Therefore, either the tidal radius of NGC 6441 is underestimated and/or we are seeing dissolving cluster stars stemming from NGC 6441 that are building up the old spheroidal bulge.</description><source format="bibcode">2018AJ....155..171K</source><referenceURL>https://cdsarc.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/cat/J/AJ/155/171</referenceURL><type>Catalog</type><contentLevel>Research</contentLevel><relationship><relationshipType>IsServedBy</relationshipType><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/TAP">TAP VizieR generic service</relatedResource></relationship><relationship><relationshipType>IsServedBy</relationshipType><relatedResource>Conesearch service</relatedResource></relationship><relationship><relationshipType>related-to</relationshipType><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/II/213">II/213 : OGLE Galactic Bulge periodic variables (Udalski+ 1996)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/V/150">V/150 : Updated catalog of variable stars in globular clusters (Clement+ 2017)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/AJ/117/1313">J/AJ/117/1313 : NGC 6441 VI photometry (Layden+, 1999)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/ApJ/651/197">J/ApJ/651/197 : OGLE fundamental-mode RR Lyrae in Galactic Bulge</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/A+A/464/953">J/A+A/464/953 : Abundances of red giants in NGC 6441 (Gratton+, 2007)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/other/PZP/9.5">J/other/PZP/9.5 : I light curves of RR Lyrae from OGLE II (Bernhard+, 2009)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/AcA/61/1">J/AcA/61/1 : VI light curves of Galactic Bulge RR Lyrae (Soszynski+, 2011)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/AcA/64/177">J/AcA/64/177 : VI light curves of Galactic Bulge RR Lyrae (Soszynski+, 2014)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/ApJ/821/L25">J/ApJ/821/L25 : Bulge RR Lyrae Radial Velocity Assay (BRAVA-RR)</relatedResource></relationship></content><rights>https://cds.unistra.fr/vizier-org/licences_vizier.html</rights><capability><interface xsi:type="vr:WebBrowser"><accessURL use="full">https://vizier.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/VizieR-2?-source=J/AJ/155/171</accessURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at IUCAA: Pune, India">https://vizier.iucaa.in/viz-bin/VizieR-2?-source=J/AJ/155/171</mirrorURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at SAAO: SAAO, South Africa">http://vizieridia.saao.ac.za/viz-bin/VizieR-2?-source=J/AJ/155/171</mirrorURL></interface></capability><capability><interface xsi:type="vs:ParamHTTP"><accessURL use="base">https://vizier.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/votable?-source=J/AJ/155/171</accessURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at IUCAA: Pune, India">https://vizier.iucaa.in/viz-bin/votable?-source=J/AJ/155/171</mirrorURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at SAAO: SAAO, South Africa">http://vizieridia.saao.ac.za/viz-bin/votable?-source=J/AJ/155/171</mirrorURL><queryType>GET</queryType><resultType>text/xml+votable</resultType></interface></capability><capability standardID="ivo://ivoa.net/std/TAP#aux"><interface xsi:type="vs:ParamHTTP" role="std"><accessURL use="base">https://tapvizier.cds.unistra.fr/TAPVizieR/tap</accessURL></interface></capability><capability xsi:type="cs:ConeSearch" standardID="ivo://ivoa.net/std/ConeSearch"><description>Cone search capability for table J/AJ/155/171/table1 (RR Lyrae stars in and around NGC 6441)</description><interface xsi:type="vs:ParamHTTP" role="std"><accessURL use="base">https://vizier.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/conesearch/J/AJ/155/171/table1?</accessURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at IUCAA: Pune, India">https://vizier.iucaa.in/viz-bin/conesearch/J/AJ/155/171/table1?</mirrorURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at SAAO: SAAO, South Africa">http://vizieridia.saao.ac.za/viz-bin/conesearch/J/AJ/155/171/table1?</mirrorURL><queryType>GET</queryType><resultType>text/xml+votable</resultType></interface><maxSR>180.0</maxSR><maxRecords>50000</maxRecords><verbosity>true</verbosity><testQuery><ra>267.555411</ra><dec>-37.046162</dec><sr>0.005555555555555556</sr></testQuery></capability><coverage><spatial>6/28705 28707</spatial><footprint ivo-id="ivo://ivoa.net/std/moc">https://cdsarc.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/moc/J/AJ/155/171?format=ascii</footprint><waveband>Infrared</waveband><waveband>Optical</waveband></coverage><tableset><schema><name>default</name><table><name>J/AJ/155/171/table1</name><description>RR Lyrae stars in and around NGC 6441</description><column><name>recno</name><description>Record number assigned by the VizieR team.
