We discover HATS-36b (EPIC 215969174b, K2-145b), an eccentric (e=0.105+/-0.028) hot Jupiter with a mass of 3.216+/-0.062 M_J_ and a radius of 1.235+/-0.043 R_J_, which transits a solar-type G0V star (V=14.386) in a 4.1752-day period. We also refine the properties of three previously discovered HATSouth transiting planets (HATS-9b, HATS-11b, and HATS-12b) and search the K2 data for TTVs and additional transiting planets in these systems. In addition, we also report on a further three systems that remain as Jupiter-radius transiting exoplanet candidates. These candidates do not have determined masses, however pass all of our other vetting observations. Finally, we report on the 18 candidates that we are now able to classify as eclipsing binary or blended eclipsing binary systems based on a combination of the HATSouth data, the K2 data, and follow-up ground-based photometry and spectroscopy. These range in periods from 0.7 day to 16.7 days, and down to 1.5 mmag in eclipse depths. Our results show the power of combining ground-based imaging and spectroscopy with higher precision space-based photometry, and serve as an illustration as to what will be possible when combining ground-based observations with TESS data.</description><source format="bibcode">2018AJ....155..119B</source><referenceURL>https://cdsarc.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/cat/J/AJ/155/119</referenceURL><type>Catalog</type><contentLevel>Research</contentLevel><relationship><relationshipType>IsServedBy</relationshipType><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/TAP">TAP VizieR generic service</relatedResource></relationship><relationship><relationshipType>IsServedBy</relationshipType><relatedResource>Conesearch service</relatedResource></relationship><relationship><relationshipType>related-to</relationshipType><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/IV/34">IV/34 : K2 Ecliptic Plane Input Catalog (EPIC) (Huber+, 2017)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/AJ/146/113">J/AJ/146/113 : Differential griz photometry of HATS-3 (Bayliss+, 2013)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/AJ/150/33">J/AJ/150/33 : Photometry and spectroscopy of HATS-9 and HATS-10 (Brahm+, 2015)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/AJ/152/88">J/AJ/152/88 : Spectroscopy and photometry of HATS-11 and HATS-12</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/AJ/155/21">J/AJ/155/21 : Planet candidates from K2 campaigns 5-8 (Petigura+, 2018)</relatedResource><relatedResource>http://hatsouth.org/ : The HATSouth exoplanet survey website</relatedResource></relationship></content><rights>https://cds.unistra.fr/vizier-org/licences_vizier.html</rights><capability><interface xsi:type="vr:WebBrowser"><accessURL use="full">https://vizier.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/VizieR-2?-source=J/AJ/155/119</accessURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at IUCAA: Pune, India">https://vizier.iucaa.in/viz-bin/VizieR-2?-source=J/AJ/155/119</mirrorURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at SAAO: SAAO, South Africa">http://vizieridia.saao.ac.za/viz-bin/VizieR-2?-source=J/AJ/155/119</mirrorURL></interface></capability><capability><interface xsi:type="vs:ParamHTTP"><accessURL use="base">https://vizier.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/votable?-source=J/AJ/155/119</accessURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at IUCAA: Pune, India">https://vizier.iucaa.in/viz-bin/votable?-source=J/AJ/155/119</mirrorURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at SAAO: SAAO, South Africa">http://vizieridia.saao.ac.za/viz-bin/votable?-source=J/AJ/155/119</mirrorURL><queryType>GET</queryType><resultType>text/xml+votable</resultType></interface></capability><capability standardID="ivo://ivoa.net/std/TAP#aux"><interface xsi:type="vs:ParamHTTP" role="std"><accessURL use="base">https://tapvizier.cds.unistra.fr/TAPVizieR/tap</accessURL></interface></capability><capability xsi:type="cs:ConeSearch" standardID="ivo://ivoa.net/std/ConeSearch"><description>Cone search capability for table J/AJ/155/119/Candidates (Basic data (table 1) and classifications (table 4) for the HS-K2C7 transiting exoplanet candidates)</description><interface xsi:type="vs:ParamHTTP" role="std"><accessURL use="base">https://vizier.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/conesearch/J/AJ/155/119/Candidates?</accessURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at IUCAA: Pune, India">https://vizier.iucaa.in/viz-bin/conesearch/J/AJ/155/119/Candidates?</mirrorURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at SAAO: SAAO, South Africa">http://vizieridia.saao.ac.za/viz-bin/conesearch/J/AJ/155/119/Candidates?</mirrorURL><queryType>GET</queryType><resultType>text/xml+votable</resultType></interface><maxSR>180.0</maxSR><maxRecords>50000</maxRecords><verbosity>true</verbosity><testQuery><ra>290.8095</ra><dec>-20.1663056</dec><sr>0.005555555555555556</sr></testQuery></capability><coverage><spatial>6/28996 28999 29009 29010 29012 29017 29019 48055 48086 48089 48091 48093 48095 48096 48097 48099 48105 48108 48109 48111 48114 48120 48121</spatial><footprint ivo-id="ivo://ivoa.net/std/moc">https://cdsarc.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/moc/J/AJ/155/119?format=ascii</footprint><waveband>Infrared</waveband><waveband>Optical</waveband></coverage><tableset><schema><name>default</name><table><name>J/AJ/155/119/table5</name><description>Relative radial velocities and bisector span measurements of HATS-36</description><column><name>recno</name><description>Record number assigned by the VizieR team.
