The light curves are analyzed with spot models using the Wilson-Devinney code. V532 Mon is found to be an A-subtype intermediate-contact binary with a degree of contact factor of f=47.1%(+/-2.7%), a mass ratio of q=0.2502(+/-0.0019), and a cool spot on the primary component. The period changes of the system are investigated by combining newly determined times of light minimum with others published in the literature. We found that the general trend of the observed-calculated (O-C) curve shows a downward parabolic variation that corresponds to a long-term decrease in the orbital period at a rate of dP/dt=-1.716(+/-0.002)*10^-7^dyr^-1^. The long-term decrease of the orbital period can be explained by mass transfer from the more-massive component to the less massive one. The long-time period decrease, the intermediate-contact configuration, and the astrophysical parameters of the binary system suggest that V532 Mon will evolve into high fill-out, extreme mass-ratio overcontact binaries.</description><source format="bibcode">2016AJ....152..120H</source><referenceURL>https://cdsarc.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/cat/J/AJ/152/120</referenceURL><type>Catalog</type><contentLevel>Research</contentLevel><relationship><relationshipType>IsServedBy</relationshipType><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/TAP">TAP VizieR generic service</relatedResource></relationship><relationship><relationshipType>IsServedBy</relationshipType><relatedResource>Conesearch service</relatedResource></relationship><relationship><relationshipType>related-to</relationshipType><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/I/317">I/317 : The PPMXL Catalog (Roeser+ 2010)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/V/119">V/119 : Catalogue of field contact binary stars (Pribulla+, 2003)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/other/IBVS/5984">J/other/IBVS/5984 : Minima and maxima of 503 variables (Hubscher, 2011)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/other/IBVS/5918">J/other/IBVS/5918 : Minima and maxima of 452 variables (Hubscher+, 2010)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/other/IBVS/5874">J/other/IBVS/5874 : Minima and maxima of 299 variables (Hubscher+, 2009)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/other/IBVS/5802">J/other/IBVS/5802 : Minima and maxima of 735 variables (Hubscher+, 2007)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/AJ/131/2986">J/AJ/131/2986 : Multiplicity of contact binaries (Pribulla+, 2006)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/other/IBVS/5493">J/other/IBVS/5493 : 2003 CCD minima of eclipsing binaries (Nelson+, 2004)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/other/IBVS/5296">J/other/IBVS/5296 : Extrema of pulsating stars (Agerer+, 2002)</relatedResource></relationship></content><rights>https://cds.unistra.fr/vizier-org/licences_vizier.html</rights><capability><interface xsi:type="vr:WebBrowser"><accessURL use="full">https://vizier.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/VizieR-2?-source=J/AJ/152/120</accessURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at IUCAA: Pune, India">https://vizier.iucaa.in/viz-bin/VizieR-2?-source=J/AJ/152/120</mirrorURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at SAAO: SAAO, South Africa">http://vizieridia.saao.ac.za/viz-bin/VizieR-2?-source=J/AJ/152/120</mirrorURL></interface></capability><capability><interface xsi:type="vs:ParamHTTP"><accessURL use="base">https://vizier.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/votable?-source=J/AJ/152/120</accessURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at IUCAA: Pune, India">https://vizier.iucaa.in/viz-bin/votable?-source=J/AJ/152/120</mirrorURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at SAAO: SAAO, South Africa">http://vizieridia.saao.ac.za/viz-bin/votable?-source=J/AJ/152/120</mirrorURL><queryType>GET</queryType><resultType>text/xml+votable</resultType></interface></capability><capability standardID="ivo://ivoa.net/std/TAP#aux"><interface xsi:type="vs:ParamHTTP" role="std"><accessURL use="base">https://tapvizier.cds.unistra.fr/TAPVizieR/tap</accessURL></interface></capability><capability xsi:type="cs:ConeSearch" standardID="ivo://ivoa.net/std/ConeSearch"><description>Cone search capability for table J/AJ/152/120/table1 (Coordinates and color index of V532 Mon, the comparison, and the check stars)</description><interface xsi:type="vs:ParamHTTP" role="std"><accessURL use="base">https://vizier.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/conesearch/J/AJ/152/120/table1?</accessURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at IUCAA: Pune, India">https://vizier.iucaa.in/viz-bin/conesearch/J/AJ/152/120/table1?</mirrorURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at SAAO: SAAO, South Africa">http://vizieridia.saao.ac.za/viz-bin/conesearch/J/AJ/152/120/table1?</mirrorURL><queryType>GET</queryType><resultType>text/xml+votable</resultType></interface><maxSR>180.0</maxSR><maxRecords>50000</maxRecords><verbosity>true</verbosity><testQuery><ra>106.12769167</ra><dec>-0.35151389</dec><sr>0.005555555555555556</sr></testQuery></capability><coverage><spatial>6/22117</spatial><spectral>1.143914381504295e-19 1.7798557115773645e-19</spectral><footprint ivo-id="ivo://ivoa.net/std/moc">https://cdsarc.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/moc/J/AJ/152/120?format=ascii</footprint><waveband>Optical</waveband></coverage><tableset><schema><name>default</name><table><name>J/AJ/152/120/photometry</name><description>CCD photometric data of V532 Mon in the B band (table2) and in the V band (table3) (</description><column><name>recno</name><description>Record number assigned by the VizieR team.
