Photometric solutions reveal that GSC 1537-1557 is a W-type system with a mass ratio of q=M_2_/M_1_=2.645 where the less massive component (the primary star) is about 110K hotter than the more massive one (the secondary star). The asymmetry and variation of the light curves were explained as the activity of spots on the solar-type component stars. By investigating all of the available times of light minima, we found that the observed-calculated (O-C) curve shows a cyclic variation with a small amplitude of 0.00335days and a period of 8.1years. The small-amplitude cyclic change in the O -C curve was analyzed for the light-travel time effect via the presence of an extremely cool stellar companion. The mass of the third body was determined to be M_3_sini'=(0.19+/-0.01)M_{sun}_ when M_1_+M_2_=1.31M_{sun}_ is adopted for GSC 1537-1557. The semimajor axis of the outer obit is a'sini'=(4.58+/-0.33)AU.</description><source format="bibcode">2015AJ....150....9X</source><referenceURL>https://cdsarc.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/cat/J/AJ/150/9</referenceURL><type>Catalog</type><contentLevel>Research</contentLevel><relationship><relationshipType>IsServedBy</relationshipType><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/TAP">TAP VizieR generic service</relatedResource></relationship><relationship><relationshipType>related-to</relationshipType><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/B/gcvs">B/gcvs : General Catalogue of Variable Stars (Samus+ 2007-2013)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/other/IBVS/5543">J/other/IBVS/5543 : 163-nd list of eclipsing binaries minima (Diethelm+, 2004)</relatedResource></relationship></content><rights>https://cds.unistra.fr/vizier-org/licences_vizier.html</rights><capability><interface xsi:type="vr:WebBrowser"><accessURL use="full">https://vizier.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/VizieR-2?-source=J/AJ/150/9</accessURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at IUCAA: Pune, India">https://vizier.iucaa.in/viz-bin/VizieR-2?-source=J/AJ/150/9</mirrorURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at SAAO: SAAO, South Africa">http://vizieridia.saao.ac.za/viz-bin/VizieR-2?-source=J/AJ/150/9</mirrorURL></interface></capability><capability><interface xsi:type="vs:ParamHTTP"><accessURL use="base">https://vizier.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/votable?-source=J/AJ/150/9</accessURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at IUCAA: Pune, India">https://vizier.iucaa.in/viz-bin/votable?-source=J/AJ/150/9</mirrorURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at SAAO: SAAO, South Africa">http://vizieridia.saao.ac.za/viz-bin/votable?-source=J/AJ/150/9</mirrorURL><queryType>GET</queryType><resultType>text/xml+votable</resultType></interface></capability><capability standardID="ivo://ivoa.net/std/TAP#aux"><interface xsi:type="vs:ParamHTTP" role="std"><accessURL use="base">https://tapvizier.cds.unistra.fr/TAPVizieR/tap</accessURL></interface></capability><coverage><footprint ivo-id="ivo://ivoa.net/std/moc"/><waveband>Optical</waveband><waveband>Infrared</waveband></coverage><tableset><schema><name>default</name><table><name>J/AJ/150/9/table8</name><description>*CCD photometric data of GSC 1537-1557 in V band</description><column><name>recno</name><description>Record number assigned by the VizieR team.
