The unprecedented combination of multi-wavelength, high-precision, high-cadence, and long-duration data opens a new window into the time domain behavior of young stellar objects. Here we provide an overview of the observations, focusing on results from Spitzer and CoRoT. The highlight of this work is detailed analysis of 162 classical T Tauri stars for which we can probe optical and mid-infrared flux variations to 1% amplitudes and sub-hour timescales. We present a morphological variability census and then use metrics of periodicity, stochasticity, and symmetry to statistically separate the light curves into seven distinct classes, which we suggest represent different physical processes and geometric effects. We provide distributions of the characteristic timescales and amplitudes and assess the fractional representation within each class. The largest category (&gt;20%) are optical "dippers" with discrete fading events lasting ~1-5 days. The degree of correlation between the optical and infrared light curves is positive but weak; notably, the independently assigned optical and infrared morphology classes tend to be different for the same object. Assessment of flux variation behavior with respect to (circum)stellar properties reveals correlations of variability parameters with H{alpha} emission and with effective temperature. Overall, our results point to multiple origins of young star variability, including circumstellar obscuration events, hot spots on the star and/or disk, accretion bursts, and rapid structural changes in the inner disk.</description><source format="bibcode">2014AJ....147...82C</source><referenceURL>https://cdsarc.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/cat/J/AJ/147/82</referenceURL><type>Catalog</type><contentLevel>Research</contentLevel><relationship><relationshipType>IsServedBy</relationshipType><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/TAP">TAP VizieR generic service</relatedResource></relationship><relationship><relationshipType>IsServedBy</relationshipType><relatedResource>Conesearch service</relatedResource></relationship><relationship><relationshipType>related-to</relationshipType><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/B/corot">B/corot : CoRoT observation log Release 13 (CoRoT, 2009-2014)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/AJ/138/1116">J/AJ/138/1116 : A Spitzer view of NGC 2264 (Sung+, 2009)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/ApJ/648/1090">J/ApJ/648/1090 : Radial velocities of NGC 2264 stars (Furesz+, 2006)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/AJ/129/829">J/AJ/129/829 : H{alpha} emission stars in NGC 2264 (Dahm+, 2005)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/AJ/127/2228">J/AJ/127/2228 : VRI photometry of PMS stars in NGC 2264 OB (Makidon+, 2004)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/A+A/417/557">J/A+A/417/557 : Rotation &amp; variability of PMS Stars in NGC 2264 (Lamm, 2004)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/AJ/123/1528">J/AJ/123/1528 : UBV(RI)_C_ and JHK photometry in NGC 2264 (Rebull+, 2002)</relatedResource></relationship></content><rights>https://cds.unistra.fr/vizier-org/licences_vizier.html</rights><capability><interface xsi:type="vr:WebBrowser"><accessURL use="full">https://vizier.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/VizieR-2?-source=J/AJ/147/82</accessURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at IUCAA: Pune, India">https://vizier.iucaa.in/viz-bin/VizieR-2?-source=J/AJ/147/82</mirrorURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at SAAO: SAAO, South Africa">http://vizieridia.saao.ac.za/viz-bin/VizieR-2?-source=J/AJ/147/82</mirrorURL></interface></capability><capability><interface xsi:type="vs:ParamHTTP"><accessURL use="base">https://vizier.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/votable?-source=J/AJ/147/82</accessURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at IUCAA: Pune, India">https://vizier.iucaa.in/viz-bin/votable?-source=J/AJ/147/82</mirrorURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at SAAO: SAAO, South Africa">http://vizieridia.saao.ac.za/viz-bin/votable?-source=J/AJ/147/82</mirrorURL><queryType>GET</queryType><resultType>text/xml+votable</resultType></interface></capability><capability standardID="ivo://ivoa.net/std/TAP#aux"><interface xsi:type="vs:ParamHTTP" role="std"><accessURL use="base">https://tapvizier.cds.unistra.fr/TAPVizieR/tap</accessURL></interface></capability><capability xsi:type="cs:ConeSearch" standardID="ivo://ivoa.net/std/ConeSearch"><description>Cone search capability for table J/AJ/147/82/stars (Photometry , and variability properties of the NGC 2264 members monitored with CoRoT and Spitzer)</description><interface xsi:type="vs:ParamHTTP" role="std"><accessURL use="base">https://vizier.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/conesearch/J/AJ/147/82/stars?</accessURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at IUCAA: Pune, India">https://vizier.iucaa.in/viz-bin/conesearch/J/AJ/147/82/stars?</mirrorURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at SAAO: SAAO, South Africa">http://vizieridia.saao.ac.za/viz-bin/conesearch/J/AJ/147/82/stars?</mirrorURL><queryType>GET</queryType><resultType>text/xml+votable</resultType></interface><maxSR>180.0</maxSR><maxRecords>50000</maxRecords><verbosity>true</verbosity><testQuery><ra>100.471</ra><dec>9.9674444</dec><sr>0.005555555555555556</sr></testQuery></capability><coverage><spatial>6/23636 23637 23639</spatial><spectral>6.772611666688002e-21 1.7003137259100215e-19</spectral><footprint ivo-id="ivo://ivoa.net/std/moc">https://cdsarc.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/moc/J/AJ/147/82?format=ascii</footprint><waveband>Infrared</waveband></coverage><tableset><schema><name>default</name><table><name>J/AJ/147/82/stars</name><description>Photometry , and variability properties of the NGC 2264 members monitored with CoRoT and Spitzer</description><column><name>CSI</name><description>[7/6491] CSI Mon identifier (1)</description><ucd>meta.id;meta.main</ucd><dataType xsi:type="vs:VOTableType">int</dataType><flag>primary</flag></column><column><name>SpT</name><description>Spectral type (5)</description><ucd>src.spType</ucd><dataType xsi:type="vs:VOTableType" arraysize="4*">char</dataType></column><column><name>u_S</name><description>[*] few data points (12)</description><ucd>meta.code.error</ucd><dataType xsi:type="vs:VOTableType" arraysize="1*">char</dataType></column><column><name>recno</name><description>Record number assigned by the VizieR team.
