The Advanced Camera for Surveys (ACS) was used for 126 orbits to image a single field in two colors (F814W, F606W) 5' SE of the cluster center. The field observed overlaps that of archival WFPC2 data from 1994 and 1997 which were used to proper motion (PM) clean the data. Applying the PM corrections produces a remarkably clean CMD which reveals a number of features never seen before in a globular cluster CMD. In our field, the main-sequence stars appeared to terminate close to the location in the CMD of the hydrogen-burning limit predicted by two independent sets of stellar evolution models.</description><source format="bibcode">2008AJ....135.2141R</source><referenceURL>https://cdsarc.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/cat/J/AJ/135/2141</referenceURL><type>Catalog</type><contentLevel>Research</contentLevel><relationship><relationshipType>IsServedBy</relationshipType><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/TAP">TAP VizieR generic service</relatedResource></relationship><relationship><relationshipType>related-to</relationshipType><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/A+A/287/769">J/A+A/287/769 : UV photometry of NGC 6397 (Burgarella+ 1994)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/ApJS/99/637">J/ApJS/99/637 : Equivalent widths for 54 red giants (Norris+ 1995)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/PASP/108/682">J/PASP/108/682 : Low-Mass Stars in Outer Field in NGC 6397 (Mould+, 1996)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/A+AS/122/1">J/A+AS/122/1 : BV photometry of variables in NGC 6397 (Kaluzny, 1997)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/AJ/119/1225">J/AJ/119/1225 : Stroemgren photometry of Omega Cen and NGC 6397 (Hughes+ 2000)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/A+A/425/509">J/A+A/425/509 : VI photometry of NGC 6397 (Andreuzzi+, 2004)</relatedResource></relationship></content><rights>https://cds.unistra.fr/vizier-org/licences_vizier.html</rights><capability><interface xsi:type="vr:WebBrowser"><accessURL use="full">https://vizier.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/VizieR-2?-source=J/AJ/135/2141</accessURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at IUCAA: Pune, India">https://vizier.iucaa.in/viz-bin/VizieR-2?-source=J/AJ/135/2141</mirrorURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at SAAO: SAAO, South Africa">http://vizieridia.saao.ac.za/viz-bin/VizieR-2?-source=J/AJ/135/2141</mirrorURL></interface></capability><capability><interface xsi:type="vs:ParamHTTP"><accessURL use="base">https://vizier.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/votable?-source=J/AJ/135/2141</accessURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at IUCAA: Pune, India">https://vizier.iucaa.in/viz-bin/votable?-source=J/AJ/135/2141</mirrorURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at SAAO: SAAO, South Africa">http://vizieridia.saao.ac.za/viz-bin/votable?-source=J/AJ/135/2141</mirrorURL><queryType>GET</queryType><resultType>text/xml+votable</resultType></interface></capability><capability standardID="ivo://ivoa.net/std/TAP#aux"><interface xsi:type="vs:ParamHTTP" role="std"><accessURL use="base">https://tapvizier.cds.unistra.fr/TAPVizieR/tap</accessURL></interface></capability><coverage><spectral>2.0401237512456292e-19 2.706461185444514e-19</spectral><footprint ivo-id="ivo://ivoa.net/std/moc"/><waveband>Optical</waveband></coverage><tableset><schema><name>default</name><table><name>J/AJ/135/2141/table1</name><description>Photometry of proper motion selected NGC 6397 cluster stars</description><column><name>recno</name><description>Record number assigned by the VizieR team.
